After the exam results are available, the Departments of Education and Training will complete the recognition of high school graduation before July 25 and simultaneously announce the high school graduation results. Candidates who meet the graduation requirements will be granted a temporary graduation certificate by the principals of high schools, and their transcripts and certificates (originals) will be returned to them before July 27.

Receiving applications for university and college admission round 1 from August 1

Before August 1, the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment - Ministry of Education and Training will process data, announce criteria to ensure input quality, and candidates' exam results on the internet and mass media.

From August 1, universities and colleges will begin accepting applications for the first round of admission (the admission period for this round is from August 1 to 20).

Universities and colleges will announce the admission scores for the first round of applications before August 25, consider the first round of additional applications from August 25 to September 15, consider the second round of additional applications from September 20 to October 5, the third round from October 10 to October 25, and colleges will consider the fourth round of additional applications from October 31 to November 15. Colleges will announce the admission scores for the fourth round of additional applications.

According to the application process, after receiving the exam results, candidates can only use the Exam Results Certificate used for admission to their first choice to register for a university or college. At each school, candidates can register for a maximum of 4 choices in majors ranked in order of priority from 1 to 4.

During the 20 days of considering the first choice, if necessary, candidates can adjust the choice they have registered at that school or withdraw their application to register at another school. The choices (from 1 to 4 in a school) of the candidate have the same admission value.

Candidates who are admitted to their first choice will not be considered for the following choices. Candidates should note that after registering for admission, if they have been admitted to their first choice, they will not be allowed to register for additional admission rounds.

Consider additional admission wishes

If a candidate fails to pass the first choice, he/she can register for additional choice examinations. When registering for additional choice examinations, the candidate can use three certificates of exam results for additional choice examinations at the same time to register for a maximum of three schools and in each school, he/she can register for a maximum of four choices in order of priority from 1 to 4.

Candidates' wishes (from 1 to 4 in a school) have the same admission value. Candidates who are admitted to the first wish will not be considered for the following wishes. During the time of each additional wish selection round, candidates are not allowed to withdraw their application.

After each round of admission, if the candidate is not admitted, he/she can withdraw his/her application to register for admission in the next round of additional admission. Candidates who have been admitted to the school are not allowed to participate in the next round of additional admission.

Announcement of admission information updated every three days

Schools base on the determined enrollment quota, after deducting the number of candidates admitted directly (including the number of preparatory students of the school and students of preparatory universities assigned to the school); base on the regulations on priority score framework and enrollment area; base on the results of analyzing the response to the registration wishes of candidates for the school's majors provided by the computer, the Secretariat submits to the school's Admissions Council for consideration and decision on the admission score plan.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, at least once a day, schools update admission registration information (including the list of candidates registering for admission and the list of candidates withdrawing their application) into the national admission data management system and receive candidate data from the system for admission consideration.

During the application period of an admission round, every three days, schools publish on their websites a list of candidates who have registered for admission to the school by major and ranked by exam results from highest to lowest.

The Ministry of Education and Training encourages schools to announce provisional admission results up to the announcement date. Therefore, during the admission process, candidates need to follow admission information on the schools' websites.
