FIT-DNU students experience reality at FPT Software: The school promotes practical training, businesses have the opportunity to "appraise" high-quality human resources

Experiencing a real working environment for students is a mandatory activity in the training program of the Faculty of Information Technology (IT); in accordance with the learning ecosystem "Maximum experience between studying and practicing at enterprises, helping students easily grasp knowledge, have the skills to apply theory into practice" of Dai Nam University. In that training spirit, recently, the Faculty of IT organized for K14 students to visit and experience the actual working environment of the No. 1 software company in Vietnam - FPT Software.

FPT Software is ready to "sponsor" FIT-DNU students

FPT Software is a partner of the IT department of Dai Nam University, supporting students in internships, recruiting staff as well as cooperating in research and development in the IT field... The practical experience of IT students of Dai Nam University at FPT Software is part of the cooperation program of both sides. The school promotes practical training for students, and businesses have the opportunity to "evaluate" high-quality human resources.

During the field trip to FPT Software, teachers and students of the IT department learned about the history of formation and development, and better understood the working apparatus and people at FPT Software. Students also visited and interacted in specialized departments, "witnessed" the company's research projects, and directly discussed with experts on technology, software, modern IT solutions, etc. Thereby, they had a realistic view of the process of product development and IT application.

At the program, Mr. Le Quan - Head of School Relations Department of FPT Software enthusiastically answered questions from IT students about job opportunities and positions at the company. Mr. Quan emphasized: The IT industry uses GPA (average score of subjects students achieve in a course, a semester or a level of education) to screen applications. Therefore, students need to be diligent and study hard to achieve the best results.

FPT Software representative shared about career opportunities and salary that FIT-DNU students can receive when working at the company.

In particular, job position and salary depend heavily on students’ foreign language ability. If they want a “huge” salary in the IT industry, engineers must have a “capital” of foreign languages. In addition, they must have a professional working attitude and solid professional skills.

“Although we only met for a short time, we found that IT students from Dai Nam University are very agile, dynamic, eager to learn, eager to learn and have a good attitude. FPT Software is ready to welcome you to visit, experience and intern at the company,” said Mr. Quan.

Fostering love for the profession, defining a path for students to strive for

Nguyen Tien Dat - a student of IT class 14.03 shared: “Practical experience at a business is one of the activities I like most at the IT department of Dai Nam University. Through the trip, I better understand the environment, culture and recruitment standards of the business. From there, I built a plan and roadmap to strive to become a good engineer with an 'unlimited' income in the future”.

Do Thi Hoan – a student of class 14.05 expressed: “This practical experience has helped me visualize more clearly the future working environment. Through that, I have further developed my love for the profession. I believe that the training program associated with practice – reality of the IT department will be a solid stepping stone for us when entering the labor market and conquering employers”.

Dr. Dau Hai Phong - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology shared: "Visiting and experiencing real life at enterprises is a necessary and urgent activity for students. Thereby, creating conditions for students to approach and learn practically, contributing to strengthening the close relationship between the University - enterprises - students. In the coming time, the Faculty will further promote practical activities for FIT-DNU students".
