Final round of the 2023 national startup competition at Dai Nam University: The champion belongs to the project of students from 4 universities

The final round of the Social Innovation Launch (SIL) 2023 competition officially ended with the victory belonging to the Vietnam Carbon Credit project of a group of students from 04 schools: Foreign Trade University, Dai Nam University, National Economics University, and Academy of Justice.
Surpassing more than 200 contestants from more than 40 high schools, universities, and academies across the country, the 5 best teams from Dai Nam University, Foreign Trade University, University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi... entered the final round of the social innovation launch competition - Social Innovation Launch 2023.
The competition is organized by Dai Nam University in collaboration with JCI Thang Long and Youth Plus to nurture and give wings to young talents with aspirations to start a business. This is the training orientation of Dai Nam University: Creative start-ups, students have jobs right after graduation with good income.

The judges of this year's Final Round are experts with extensive knowledge, prestigious and successful leaders in the field of startups, including: Mr. Le Dac Lam - Vice Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University, Chairman of Vntrip.vn Company Limited, a startup that raised nearly 20 million USD and was valued at $45 million in 2018; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Trung - Trainer, Innovative Startup Expert at the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province; Ms. Jen Vu Huong - Director of Program and Community of BK Holdings, Founder of the International Entrepreneurs Community HEC; Ms. Pham Kieu Oanh - Founder & CEO at the Center for Supporting Community Initiatives - CSIP; Mr. Pham Duy - In charge of training/incubation activities, at the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups - NSSC.

Winner of the project naming contest of student groups from 4 universities
The final round was a "fierce" confrontation between 05 teams with potential projects, associated with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
The Vietnam Carbon Credit Project with its initial service solution of measuring and calculating carbon stocks using technology in 6 provinces in the North Central region was funded by the World Bank; it not only creates income and livelihoods for local people but also encourages afforestation. The project has been successfully piloted in Quang Yen (Quang Ninh) and is continuing to be implemented in Thanh Van commune (Bac Kan).
MeCop Team with Content Marketing Solution Project develops e-commerce activities for businesses on digital platforms. The project not only helps consumers access high-quality products but also spreads local culture.
Cadudes with web/app development and construction solutions for mental health care includes 3 main features: Personal emotional diary, Soul mate and Soul healing to help improve mental health for young people.
Team A2Z – Save Food, Save Earth of students from the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy of DNU offers a solution to reduce food waste by connecting businesses and consumers through a mobile application.
The Ngu Moc Thao project of a group of students from the DNU Faculty of Pharmacy with a foot bath product extracted from 5 medicinal herbs in tea bag form is convenient for consumers, protecting and caring for community health.
After round 01 - Pitching (Presenting product ideas), 03 teams Vietnam Carbon Credit, MeCop, Cadudes officially entered round 02 - Project discussion (Group review).
Fiery debate round of the Top 3 finalists.
The practical and potential project, along with impressive presentation skills and fierce and passionate debates, helped the Vietnam Carbon Credit project win the valuable trophy of Social Innovation Launch 2023 with a total prize of up to 20 million VND.
Second prize went to Mecop team; Third prize was awarded to Cadudes team. 02 teams from Dai Nam University, A2Z – Save Food, Save Earth and Ngu Moc Thao, won the Prospective prize.
The champion is the Vietnam Carbon Credit team.
Trinh Huyen Trang - Dai Nam University was moved: "6 months is not a very long journey, but it is definitely an important stepping stone for us to step out of our 'comfort zone', dare to think, dare to do and dare to pursue our dreams, enthusiasm, startup ideas and create social impact".
Nguyen Huy Minh - National Economics University shared: "The competition is not only a place to nurture ideas but also a place to develop leaders and people who are responsible to society".

The 2023 Social Entrepreneurship Competition is not only a playground for young people to exchange and learn, but also contributes to spreading the spirit and desire for entrepreneurship to generations of students and the social community.
