Surpassing 64 projects, the 8 best projects of the contest "Start-up with Dai Nam 2015" competed in the Final night held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Great Hall, Dai Nam University, Phu Lam campus, Ha Dong, Hanoi.

The “Start-up with Dai Nam 2015” contest is one of the school’s activities organized by the Startup Club (SSB) of the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University. As one of the few universities that boldly organized a large-scale Startup contest, keeping up with the trend of “Entrepreneurship training - Business incubation”, Dai Nam University has taken a big step forward in the process of “Training innovation, realization and integration”. The contest is an attractive, practical and useful playground for students to realize their business ideas right from when they are still in school; arouse the entrepreneurial spirit, search for and support young people who are passionate about business.

The contest attracted the participation of many teachers and students from many universities.

The competition started from the leader's heart

As a businessman, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University always cherishes the idea of inspiring the entrepreneurial spirit and the will to get rich legitimately for his generation of students. Dai Nam University is the first school in Vietnam to introduce the subject of Wealthy Thinking and Career Success into the main curriculum. nbsp; "In order for students to be able to start a business right from when they are still in school, we advocate increasing the teaching of subjects on methods of getting rich, creating opportunities for students to work overtime at businesses and real models established by the School" - Mr. Son shared.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University: “ Through my own life experiences in different fields of activity, I realize that being an entrepreneur is both an interesting path and in line with the laws of social development. Therefore, I always want to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in generations of students.”

Dai Nam University always creates conditions for students to maximize their creativity, dare to think, dare to do by sponsoring expertise, organization and finance for many playgrounds, competitions, events organized by the University's students. The contest "Starting a business with Dai Nam 2015" is a testament to the entire spirit and goal of "for the comprehensive development of students" of the University's Board of Directors.

The contest was launched on December 18, 2014 at Dai Nam University. After 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 64 projects from many universities and colleges in Hanoi: Dai Nam University, Forestry University, Foreign Trade University, University of Commerce, University of Industry, University of Mining and Geology, Women's Academy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Electricity, Polytechnic College... Of which, Forestry University accounted for 39 projects, Dai Nam University had 11 projects, Hanoi University of Industry had 3 projects, the rest were projects from other universities and colleges.

The organizers thanked and presented flowers to the members of the jury.

After two preliminary rounds: Round 1 - Preliminary selection of business ideas (from December 18, 2014 to January 25, 2015); Round 2 - Qualifying round of business ideas (from February 1, 2015 to March 1, 2015). The groups were able to attend free training courses on business start-ups and project planning skills taught by leading experts in start-ups.

On April 21, the Organizing Committee selected the 8 best projects for the Final Round. The authors of these 8 projects attended a training course on presentation skills and investor persuasion before "stepping onto the competition floor" in the Final Round.

The final night is exciting and professional.

The Final Night is the competition of 8 best project groups, in various business fields, from many universities: Dai Nam University, Forestry University, University of Commerce, University of Mining and Geology. Feasibility and creativity are the two factors that the judges are most interested in and determine the success of the projects. Right from the Launching Ceremony of the Competition, the Organizing Committee has encouraged business projects with little capital, easy to implement, suitable for the management and development capacity of students.

The Competition's jury consists of 8 members, who are successful entrepreneurs, experts, and lecturers on business startups: Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, Dr. Tran Van Trang - Head of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University; Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of the Business Forum Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the National Startup Program; Mr. Nguyen Van My, Senior Lecturer of CEFE, Senior Advisor of the National Startup Program; Mr. Pham Duy Cuong - Director of Sen Viet Production & Service Co., Ltd.; Mr. Dam Quang Thang - Vice President of the Hanoi CEO Club, General Director of Agricare Vietnam Co., Ltd.

 

 

 

 

The Start-up with Dai Nam 2015 program initiated and organized by SSB Club - Dai Nam University has ended, leaving many good impressions on the judges and teams from the schools. The competition is a stepping stone to help students become more confident and move forward to the National Start-up Program that will take place at the end of this year.
