On the morning of March 17, 2016, the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, Dai Nam University organized a seminar on "Lisp and solutions to overcome it", to promote the importance of correct pronunciation among students and lecturers.

Nowadays, lisping is becoming a common phenomenon not only among young people but also in the pedagogical environment and among cadres and civil servants. Lisping not only causes a bad impression on listeners but also sometimes makes them misunderstand the meaning, losing the purity of Vietnamese. For many young people, lisping has made them feel inferior and self-conscious when communicating in front of a crowd, especially when finding a job. Realizing the importance of correct pronunciation in communication, work and especially in public relations and communication activities. On the morning of March 17, 2016, the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, Dai Nam University organized a seminar on "Lisping and solutions to overcome it", aiming to promote the importance of correct pronunciation among students and lecturers.
Attending the program were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors, along with leaders of faculties, units and students in the school. In particular, the program had the participation of Dr. Vu Ngoc Thuong - speech therapy specialist, Director of MR. Thuong Art Center; Master Le Anh Phuong - Deputy General Director of HYP Global Academy.
On behalf of the School’s Board of Directors, Dr. Le Dac Son spoke and emphasized the importance of language, especially the issue of lisping, which affects the success of students. He said : “Language not only demonstrates knowledge but also affirms success and advancement in work. The topic “Lisping and solutions to overcome it” of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications is truly a very useful program, not only for students but also meaningful for us – the teachers who impart knowledge”.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized the importance of correct pronunciation for students on their career path.

University is a learning environment with many students from many different regions, provinces, and cities, so there are many students who stutter when pronouncing the letters “N, L”, stuttering the accents “?, ~” or speaking in a local accent. This causes many difficulties for students when communicating in front of a crowd or applying for a job. And for students majoring in public relations, stuttering is unacceptable.
To help Dai Nam University students in general, especially students of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, to cure “speech disorders”, Dr. Vu Ngoc Thuong - a speech disorder specialist, Director of MR. Thuong Art Center shared with Dai Nam lecturers and students the mistakes of speech disorders and offered solutions to help students cure speech disorders.

The teacher's sharing is humorous and very practical, not only making students but also teachers interested in listening and practicing with teacher Thuong to correct lisp.

The harmful effects of stuttering have been portrayed by students of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication through comedy skits.

Communication style is an important factor to help students succeed. Therefore, the topic "Lisp and solutions" of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication has brought practical and useful results to students. The topic is not only for students, for those who lisp, but for all of us. The topic is also a message that the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, Dai Nam University wants to send to everyone " Together building a learning and working environment with pure and healthy communication language."
