On the morning of September 28, the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University, jubilantly held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the faculty's founding and meet and greet new students of the 13th course.

Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, representing the University, presented flowers to congratulate teachers and students of the Faculty of Information Technology.

Attending the Ceremony, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there was the presence of Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Board of Directors; teachers in the school along with all students and generations of alumni of the Faculty of Information Technology. On the guest side, the Ceremony had the presence of partner units; representatives of leaders of universities and colleges; employers and a group of teachers who were former staff and employees of the Faculty of Information Technology through the periods.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal and Head of the Faculty of Information Technology sent a warm welcome to the delegates, distinguished guests, all teachers as well as generations of alumni and students studying at the faculty.

“The 10-year journey of building and developing the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University, although having gone through many ups and downs, with efforts, enthusiasm, trust and solidarity, the Faculty of Information Technology has gradually overcome difficulties, affirmed its reputation, quality and developed strongly as it is today... It is the efforts of generations of teachers in the faculty, the wholehearted support of the school's leaders that have helped the Faculty of Information Technology affirm its brand and quality, worthy of the trust of learners as well as society..." said Dr. Luong Cao Dong.

Assessing the training quality as well as the contributions of the Faculty of Information Technology to the overall development of Dai Nam University, Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors said: "After 10 years of construction and development, the Faculty of Information Technology has deserved the trust of the school's leaders, training thousands of IT bachelors who are used and highly appreciated by businesses. The school's Board of Directors appreciates the sustainable contributions of the Faculty of Information Technology..."

The ceremony attracted the attention of many students in the faculty.

With the goal of constantly improving the quality of training, meeting the needs of society, the training program of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University is built in a modern direction, continuously reviewed and updated every school year to suit the development needs of the profession in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.

Over the past 10 years, the Faculty of Information Technology has always maximized the potential, creativity, and autonomy of every individual towards the common goal of training human resources in the direction of vocational application, contributing to building a prosperous country. The Faculty has always paid attention to creating the most favorable conditions for young, dynamic and enthusiastic lecturers to develop.

“Young lecturers are always respected, encouraged and given the opportunity to research, improve their professional qualifications and implement their own creative ideas. Each of us, the staff and lecturers, is imbued with the idea of “devoting ourselves to students” and considering students as customers to serve…”, shared MSc. Le Ngoc An – lecturer of the Faculty of Information Technology.

It is known that in addition to professional knowledge, students of Dai Nam IT Faculty are also trained in soft skills and foreign languages with TOIEC output standards from 450 - 600 points (reading and writing proficiency) throughout the course. The results of the 2018 survey on the employment status of Dai Nam University's alumni show that 100% of graduates of the IT Faculty have jobs and can work immediately, businesses do not have to retrain.

Dai Nam University IT students are confident, dynamic and integrate with the times.

Thanks to the modern, updated training program, along with being equipped with soft skills, foreign languages and practical experiences during my university years, I was not surprised when applying for a job, got into the rhythm of the job well and was recognized by my superiors after a short time...”, Le Huy Nghi - a former IT student of the 3rd course shared.

Statistics show that among the graduates, many students of the IT department have become famous and successful in many fields after only 2-3 years of graduation, especially some former students after 3-4 years of working have achieved an income of more than 1,000 USD/month.

New student Ho Viet Son Tung - IT class 13-01 represents new students to express his feelings.

At the ceremony, Ho Viet Son Tung - IT class 13-01 represented nearly 200 new students of K13 of the Faculty of Information Technology to express his thoughts. “ In the first days of school, we had to face many difficulties and confusion. However, thanks to the care, attention and dedicated guidance of the teachers, we quickly adapted to the new learning environment. On behalf of the new students of K13, I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to the teachers and promise to study hard to graduate on time and become good IT engineers…”

Dr. Luong Cao Dong awarded entrance scholarships to new IT students of K13.

Also at the ceremony, the Faculty of Information Technology awarded entrance scholarships to 02 new students of K13 and scholarships to 04 students with excellent academic achievements in the 2018-2019 school year. In particular, I3 Network Systems Company awarded 5 scholarships for the Zoho software system mastery course and application to businesses and Intas Company awarded 20 scholarships for engineers to work in Japan completely free of charge for students and alumni of the Faculty of Information Technology of Dai Nam University.
