As one of the faculties established since the establishment of Dai Nam University (November 14, 2007), the Faculty of Foreign Languages has been invested in human resources and material resources at the highest possible level by the Board of Directors and the Board of Management of the school, that is, 100% of the lecturers have PhD and Master's degrees, all classes are supported by electronic devices, there is a library for self-study, self-research,... Since its establishment, one of the strengths that has made the Faculty's brand is the training program. It can be said that the Faculty always updates the latest programs according to the curriculum framework prescribed by the Ministry of Education. All subjects in the program have the highest number of practice credits, language practice subjects account for more than 2/3 of the credits of the university education program according to regulations. All theoretical and practical textbooks used in teaching are taken from reliable foreign sources and updated with world trends such as: New English File (2008), Speak out (2010), Reading for the Real World (2009), English Grammar (2006), ...

As one of the pioneering faculties in teaching students with active methods, the Faculty of Foreign Languages has replaced the traditional listening and copying teaching method by applying activities in class and at home to help students develop self-awareness, self-study with guidance, self-solving problems through pair and group activities, self-building groups, study clubs (English Corner) for self-study and exchange among students in the faculty and connecting with other faculties inside and outside the school. In addition to learning and practicing foreign languages with Vietnamese lecturers, Dai Nam Foreign Language students also study with foreign teachers and practice communication with native teachers.

It is worth noting that classroom learning activities are closely linked to extracurricular activities. Every year, teachers and students of the Foreign Language Department organize scientific research activities, and at the end of each school year, lecturers and students organize scientific reports. This is one of the activities to encourage good lecturers to become better, and students to actively learn more on their own.

Since its inception, the Faculty's Board of Directors has always been concerned about how to teach students to study and work while still in school. For this purpose, by applying active teaching methods, students in the faculty always learn while doing, especially in language practice, students can always practice well the 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing. Most of the language students have grasped the knowledge very well, many students from the end of the second year onwards have been able to do part-time jobs related to English such as: tutoring, translation, tour guide, etc.
In the recent survey of graduates (December 2016), 100% of the surveyed students had jobs. According to the survey, the average salary of graduates is different, but many students earn around 10-15 million VND per month. This is a telling number reflecting the real quality of students of the Foreign Language Department of Dai Nam University.

Ten (10) years of development of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University compared to the Faculty of Foreign Languages of other universities may not be a long journey, the achievements cannot be said to be much, but what the staff, lecturers and students have harvested in the past 10 years proves the fact that, thanks to the orientation and investment of the Board of Directors and under the leadership of the School Board, the Faculty of Foreign Languages has been developing stronger and stronger, more and more students come to the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University to "Study to change", study to start a career tomorrow.
