Faculty of Business Administration launched the contest: Start-up with Dai Nam 2015

On the afternoon of December 18, 2014, at the Great Hall of Dai Nam University, the Launching Ceremony of the contest "Startup with Dai Nam 2015" took place, organized by the SSB Student Startup Club in collaboration with the Faculty of Business Administration.
Attending the program were Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Vice Principal of the school, lecturers and nearly 200 students. In particular, the program also had the participation of many startup experts and successful, experienced entrepreneurs such as: Mr. Nguyen Van My - Senior Lecturer of CEFE, Vice President of the National Startup Advisory Council - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry VCCI; Ms. Pham Thi Tu Oanh - Director of BMS Medical Consumables Factory - President of Hanoi CEO Club; Mr. Dam Quang Thang - General Director of Agricare VN Co., Ltd. - Vice President of Hanoi CEO Club; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong - Lecturer of the VCCI National Startup Program and Ms. Trinh Thu Ha - Head of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism.

With the goal of realizing students' feasible business ideas right from their school days, the competition is an attractive, practical and useful playground for students of economics in general and students of Dai Nam University in particular. Participating in the competition, students will go through 3 rounds. The preliminary round will select 30 teams with creative and unique business ideas to participate in a startup training course taught by leading lecturers and experts in startups. The 8 best teams that reach the final round will have the opportunity to receive grand prizes with a total value of up to 20 million VND.

In the second part of the program, the guests interacted and discussed with students about the knowledge and skills students need to equip themselves with to start a successful business as well as the difficulties and challenges in the first steps of starting a business.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong - Lecturer of the VCCI national startup program especially emphasized: " Business ideas are good but whether they succeed or not depends on your passion and determination to "make money ". The practical sharing of the guests was really attractive and useful to the students of Dai Nam University. They also asked many good questions about startups such as: How to protect your business ideas? What difficulties will an entrepreneur encounter? How to balance work and life?... With practical experience, the answers of the guests strongly encouraged the entrepreneurial spirit and helped young people have a deeper and more correct view of the path to entrepreneurship.

In particular, right in the launching program, two successful businesswomen, Ms. Pham Thi Tu Oanh - Director of BMS medical consumables factory and Mr. Dam Quang Thang - General Director of Agricare VN Co., Ltd., hosted as the official sponsors of the competition with extremely valuable prizes; Ms. Trinh Thu Ha - Head of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism also donated a completely free startup training course to the competition. Mr. Nguyen Van My - Senior Lecturer of CEFE, Vice Chairman of the National Startup Advisory Council expressed his belief that the "Startup with Dai Nam 2015" competition will be the premise to turn the business ideas of students in general and Dai Nam students in particular into reality and will bring them to a national startup program.
