External assessment team conducts preliminary survey at Dai Nam University

On the morning of August 9, Dai Nam University was honored to welcome and work with the External Evaluation Team of educational institutions on a preliminary survey at the school. After more than 3 hours of serious and objective work, the Minutes of the Preliminary Survey between Dai Nam University and the External Evaluation Team were signed under the witness of the Director, Chief of Office of the Center for Education Quality Assessment (Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges); representatives of the External Evaluation Team; Board of Directors and staff and lecturers of Dai Nam.

After more than 3 hours of serious and objective work, the Minutes of the Preliminary Survey between Dai Nam University and the External Evaluation Team were signed under the witness of the Director, Chief of Office of the Center for Education Quality Assessment (Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges); representatives of the External Evaluation Team; Board of Directors and staff and lecturers of Dai Nam.
A team of external assessment experts conducted a preliminary survey at Dai Nam University on the morning of August 9.
Since its inception, Dai Nam University has advocated affirming its reputation and brand through the quality of training that combines learning with practice, linking training with reality and the human resource needs of society. In addition to gradually investing in facilities; building updated and modern training programs; selecting elite staff and lecturers; building a professional, modern and dynamic learning environment to help learners develop comprehensively, Dai Nam University pays special attention to quality assessment according to the Ministry of Education and Training's standards.

The delegation of experts and school leaders approved the working contents in the preliminary survey.
Accordingly, in 2016, Dai Nam University completed the Self-Assessment Report of educational institutions according to the Regulations on standards for assessing the quality of higher education institutions issued by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 06/VBHN - BGDDT dated March 4, 2014. Based on the Regulations on accreditation of higher education institutions issued under Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGDDT dated May 19, 2017 of the Ministry of Education and Training, Dai Nam University has rebuilt the Self-Assessment Report according to new standards.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Board of Management and the determination and consensus of the staff and lecturers in the school, in June 2019, the school completed the Self-Assessment Report of the Ministry and was allowed to sign an External Assessment Contract for educational institutions with the Center for Education Quality Assessment - Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges.

Participating in the preliminary survey, on the side of the Center for Education Quality Assessment, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga - Director, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Ha - Head of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chief of Office, MSc. Dinh Tuan Dung - Secretary.

Experts review and comment on each criterion in the Self-Assessment Report of Dai Nam University.


On the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal, Chairman of the Self-Assessment Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Vice Principal, Vice Chairman of the Self-Assessment Council; MSc. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Education and Training , member of the Self-Assessment Council, Head of the Secretariat of the Self-Assessment Council... and members, specialized groups, representatives of organizations and units of the university.
Talking to us, Dr. Luong Cao Dong said: “ The purpose of the preliminary survey is to discuss and agree on the contents to prepare for the official survey taking place on September 5. At the survey, experts and the School's Evaluation Council together examined, reviewed, discussed and agreed on the contents of the evidence information according to the current set of assessment standards of the Ministry of Education and Training...”

Delegates discussed and agreed on the official survey plan.
In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Ha also pointed out the limitations that need to be supplemented to serve the official assessment in early September.
