Commenting on the way the Literature exam was made this year, Dr. Le Thi Minh Nguyet - Faculty of Literature - Hanoi National University of Education said: The Literature exam is in the form of an essay, the time for the test is 180 minutes, assessing candidates at the levels of thinking: recognition, understanding, application and high application. With the sample exam of Literature of the Ministry of Education and Training, it shows that the structure of this year's exam is different from previous years. That is, the exam consists of 2 parts: Part 1: Reading comprehension (3 points). The sample exam has 8 questions on reading comprehension of informational texts and artistic texts. Part 2: Writing (7 points) includes social argumentation and literary argumentation assessed at a high level of application.

Social argumentation (3 points): The essay requires candidates to discuss and express their opinions on an ideology, morality, a political-social issue or a phenomenon of life. In the high school literature program, students learn three types of social argumentation: argumentation on an ideology or morality; argumentation on a phenomenon of life and argumentation on a social issue raised in a literary work.

Literary essay (4 points): Literary essay questions are very diverse in content and way of asking. The essay topic may require students to analyze and feel about a literary work or an excerpt; analyze the content or art of the work; comment on an opinion about literature or compare literature...
Thus, this year's Literature exam, in terms of length, may be longer than previous years' exams, consisting of many test papers. However, if you have grasped the structure of the exam, you certainly will not be surprised and will be able to calmly complete your test.
