DNU trains personal financial management for more than 20 million Vietnamese youth

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trung Tam - Standing Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Executive Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Central Youth Solidarity Committee; Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi - Director of the SYS Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center.

On behalf of Dai Nam University, there were: Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of the University; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Nam - Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; along with staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking.

The cooperation project will begin by developing and publishing a system of textbooks and learning materials on personal finance and household finance, and coordinating with local Youth Union and Association levels to develop a training and coaching implementation plan appropriate to the actual situation.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong said that the training materials will be developed by the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Dai Nam University, based on practicality and high applicability, in the form of questions and answers on specific issues related to personal finance and household finance, thereby providing necessary knowledge and skills for learners, helping them organize their lives scientifically and effectively.

Regarding the issue of entrepreneurship, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong assessed that this is a modern trend, however, not everyone is successful because of the lack of core. At Dai Nam University, entrepreneurship for students is always focused on promoting and building a foundation and orientation from a very early age.

“The strength of Dai Nam University is multidisciplinary training. Therefore, not only the economic sector but also information technology, logistics, marketing, etc. can participate in startups. Each faculty will participate in a startup stage. Only then can we build and foster fundamental knowledge and core values that can be applied in practice later,” emphasized Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong.

The cooperation between the two sides promises to open up many practical activities to promote the student startup movement.

According to Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong, in the immediate future, Dai Nam University and the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center will promote a series of direct training activities at high schools across the country, while also developing an online training plan to ensure easy access to a large number of young people.

Sharing at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi hopes that the cooperation program will help young people have more practical provisions to start a business effectively. "I really hope that after the signing ceremony, both sides will build a thorough project, close to reality. From there, build quality resources, put into effective implementation and achieve success" , Mr. Khoi said.

In order to implement the training policy of enhancing the maximum experience between studying and practicing at enterprises; enterprises have the opportunity to access and recruit high-quality human resources, in the coming time, Dai Nam University will continue to expand cooperation with enterprises to promote comprehensive development for students in the fields of Economics - Finance - Accounting.
