When it comes to the Tourism and Travel Services Management major at Dai Nam University, it is impossible not to mention the organization of Tour and Route Survey Internship courses. One of the famous internship locations is the Trang An Cultural and Natural Heritage Complex, Ninh Binh. This is not only an important subject in the training program, but also a special example of practical application activities in the school's teaching principles.

The Tour and Route Survey course is a unique feature in the Tourism and Travel Services Management training program.

Practical training motto

The training motto at the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University always focuses on practical application throughout the training process. And this has achieved impressive results: 100% of students are introduced to jobs immediately after graduation. Moreover, many businesses have come to the school and invited many students of the Faculty of Tourism to work even though they have not graduated. This proves that businesses have highly appreciated the quality and skills of students at the Faculty.

Another unique feature of the Faculty of Tourism is that students not only study but also do internships and earn income during their studies. Students study, do internships and earn a salary, a great combination of theory and practice. After graduation, students accumulate enough experience, qualifications, knowledge and outstanding skills to confidently enter the professional world.

Students of course 14 and 15 of the Faculty of Tourism are excited about the limestone cave survey route in Trang An.

Mr. Ngo Quang Duy - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University said: “After graduation, students will have in hand a set of outstanding skills and knowledge, helping them confidently enter the professional world and make a strong contribution to the development of the tourism industry. This motto is truly an important factor that helps our faculty position itself in the training field and ensure that our students will always stand out and meet the needs of the market.”

Students organize and operate tours like businesses

The Tour Survey Internship - Specialized Route 1 course not only helps students master the theory but also apply the knowledge in practice. Students have the opportunity to be autonomous, plan and operate tours like a real business. This is an opportunity for students to experience and learn in a real environment, understanding every aspect of the tourism industry.

Soft skills are also developed during this process. Students learn how to work in teams, give presentations, negotiate, manage finances, manage customer relationships, organize passenger transportation, and many other skills. These are valuable skills that students will carry with them in their future careers as well as in their personal lives.

Practicing explaining and introducing tourist information at tourist attractions is an attractive activity that students of the Faculty of Tourism love.

“Learning how to work in groups, present, negotiate and organize passenger transportation is not only a prerequisite to help students become experts in the tourism industry but also makes them good citizens, capable of working effectively in all fields.” – Mr. Nguyen Truong Huy, Lecturer in charge of the course affirmed.

Fostering love of profession and pride in country

During the trip to Trang An, students are introduced to a land of diverse natural and historical heritage. Trang An, with its unique system of limestone mountains and caves, has been ranked as a national monument of special importance by the Vietnamese Government and recognized by UNESCO as a dual world heritage site.

Student Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – QTDL Class 15-02 emotionally shared: “Our trip to Trang An was truly a memorable experience. The experience of exploring the limestone caves on a boat changed my perspective on my homeland. I always knew that Vietnam has a unique history and nature, but when placed in a real context, I truly understood the priceless value of this Heritage.”

Student Nguyen Thi Thu Huong had a wonderful learning journey, enhancing practical knowledge about Tours and tourist routes in Ninh Binh.

"I feel so lucky to be able to participate in this trip. Trang An is not only an interesting place to study, but also a place where I learned to love my homeland. Preserving and respecting the natural and cultural heritage here helps me better understand the value of the country. We are proud to represent our homeland in the tourism sector and are committed to protecting those precious values. Trang An is truly a great outdoor school for love of the profession and homeland." Student Do Thi Ngan - QTDL Class 14-02 proudly shared.

Nguyen Thi Ngan and her classmates learned how to effectively build a tour and tourist route after a survey trip to Trang An.

What students learn and experience in this course is not only the accumulation of knowledge but also the nurturing of love and passion for learning. Students are fully equipped with knowledge, skills, and the confidence to pursue the tourism industry. This is not only an important step in shaping their future and career, but also the foundation to help students become true Tourism Managers in the future.
