DNU students unleash their creativity, design 'super cool' profiles in Basic Soft Skills course

“Say no to exam pressure with diverse and flexible testing and assessment methods that are suitable for learners’ abilities and practical requirements” is one of the learning ecosystems that is being applied vigorously and effectively at the Faculty of Soft Skills Training and Development (DNU). Students do not take exams in traditional forms such as writing, oral interviews, etc., but are free to apply the skills they have learned into practice through the Basic Soft Skills Camp and creative tests in class. DNUer's Profile - designing a profile according to their interests is one of the interesting testing methods of the Faculty of Soft Skills Training and Development, which is enthusiastically received by students.
To create a DNUer's Profile, students are required to "learn" design. Accordingly, they can use Canva, TopCV or other professional design software to create an impressive profile.
In the contest entry, in addition to introducing personal information, students must describe themselves according to the SWOT model; that is, giving their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges. Then, they need to set goals (short-term, medium-term, long-term) and make a specific action plan (building a schedule, forming good habits, self-discipline, etc.).
DNU students demonstrate their excellent profile design skills.
Pursuing a dream is like taking care of a tree. If we sow will, faith, hope… we will reap sweet fruits. But if we are discouraged and give up, the roots of the tree will be damaged and the tree will not be able to bear fruit. That is also the message that the teachers of the Soft Skills Training and Development Department want to convey through the content of drawing the tree of life values in DNUer's Profile.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department shared: "Not only did the students apply the theories and skills they learned in class well, but they also showed their own personality and mark in each product. Hopefully, this test will "stimulate" creativity, and at the same time remind them to work scientifically, have plans, goals, and strive for their dreams..."
The design is typical of students of the Chinese Language and Culture Department.
Ta Thi Thuy Linh - QTKD class 16.05 expressed: "This is the test that makes me feel most comfortable; no pressure from studying but being able to freely create, freely express my dreams and plans. Thanks to this test, I know how to plan my future."
