DNU futsal team continuously competes in tournaments

After intense, fierce matches and spectacular victories, the futsal team of Dai Nam University (DNU) students has successfully become one of two representatives of the capital's students to compete in the Finals of the 2023 National Student Sports Tournament (VUG 9).

Vietnam University Games (VUG) is the largest and most prestigious sports playground for students in Vietnam, established in 2013, developed under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association. Aiming to promote the sports movement among the youth and students nationwide, VUG is held annually, bringing a new, dynamic and healthy lifestyle to millions of students nationwide, building pride and love for the school of the young people studying there.

Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University affirmed: "In addition to investing in training activities, Dai Nam University always pays attention to physical training of students, helping students form the habit of exercising and playing sports for life. Therefore, the school pays special attention to creating conditions for students to participate in sports movements. As a bridge between the school and students, the Youth Union always accompanies and supports so that not only the football team but all students of Dai Nam University can participate in exchanges and competitions at healthy and useful sports playgrounds" .

Coming to the 9th season of the tournament, after a series of intense matches against many formidable opponents in the qualifying round, the futsal team of Dai Nam University faced the futsal team of Phuong Dong University in the match that decided the ticket to the final round.

After 40 minutes of fierce competition, the DNU players won with a score of 3-1. This was a decisive victory that helped the boys from Dai Nam University secure a ticket to the Final round of the season.

With this result, the futsal team of Dai Nam University and the futsal team of University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi are the two names representing students of the capital competing in the final round of the 2023 National Student Sports Tournament.

This is the result of enthusiastic training sessions and practical experience from a series of previous tournaments that the futsal team and the football team of Dai Nam University have participated in this year, such as: SV5 National Student Futsal Tournament in February 2023; Thanh Nien Newspaper Vietnam Student Football Tournament in March 2023; Hanoi City Student 7-a-side Football Tournament SV7 in July 2023; SV Cup 2023 National Student Football Tournament in November 2023...

The breaks between matches were used extensively for tactical discussions.

Player Nguyen Van Hoang, who is known as the “soul of the midfield” of Dai Nam University team, shared: “To achieve this result, we cannot fail to mention the attention and investment of the school in student sports activities as well as the following and support of the fans. We are extremely proud and honored to bring the Dai Nam University brand to the Final round, as one of two teams representing students of the Capital” .

Player Tran Thien Quang - Captain of Dai Nam University team assessed that the Final round will still have many difficulties against strong opponents: "In the Final round, we will have to face teams from all over the country. This is an extremely difficult challenge, requiring great determination from the whole team. Dai Nam University futsal team promises to do our best to shine in the Final round, bringing Dai Nam University brand further in student sports and physical education movements" .
