Under the direction of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Business Forum Newspaper will organize the Final Round of the 2018 National Startup Competition on December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Startup Program organized by the Business Forum Newspaper under the direction of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been promoting its activities since 2003.
The program has received active support from ministries, departments, branches and localities nationwide to jointly implement exchange and training activities (training of source lecturers, training of startup consultants/coaches, training in business startup skills), and investment invitations to help young people learn knowledge, experience and find their own career path.
In 2018, in the context of the continued excitement of startup activities nationwide, the Organizing Committee of the National Startup Program has made many innovations in content to suit the trend in order to attract and expand the startup community. In particular, 2018 is the first year of implementing the project "Promoting Startups and supporting startups to access resources to start a successful business".

In particular, 2018 is the first year of implementing the project "Promoting Startups and supporting startups to access resources to start a successful business".

Therefore, start-up activities are carried out in a variety of ways, focusing on training, coaching and consulting activities. Specifically: Training TOT source lecturers, training and coaching on innovative start-ups; training start-up consultants/coaches, consulting and supporting start-ups.
2018 also marked the return of the implementation of a series of startup activities in many provinces and cities such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Thua Thien - Hue. The activities (from launching startup exchanges to training consultants/coaches, source lecturers, business idea guidance classes) have attracted the active participation of entrepreneurs, university lecturers, youth and students from the provinces and cities. Many provinces and universities, after many years of being transferred the format by the Organizing Committee, have implemented startup activities themselves such as Lang Son, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, universities such as Tay Bac University, Lac Hong University ...
In 2018, the Startup Competition continued to have a fundamental change in accepting entries, which is only accepting entries that won prizes at the school, school cluster, and regional levels for students, or projects that are being implemented in practice for young people.
After 9 months of launching, the Contest received enthusiastic support and participation from thousands of young people and students. Nearly 250 high-prize winning projects from 37 universities and 27 provinces and cities were selected from competitions across the country and sent to the Organizing Committee to participate in the National Final Round. With such a large number of projects, the Organizing Committee had to mobilize the largest number of judges ever, including both the South and the North, to participate in the judging.
Some familiar universities have sent projects to participate for many years, such as: Banking Academy, Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Law, Hue University of Economics, Lac Hong University, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Vietnam Forestry University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Dai Nam University, Thai Binh University, Duy Tan University, Da Lat University, Tuy Hoa Industrial College (Phu Yen), Tien Giang University, Dong Thap University...
In addition, there are efforts from some universities and some mountainous provinces participating for the first time in the National Startup Competition network such as: Western University of Construction, Thu Dau Mot University, Dong Thap University, Saigon University, Can Tho University... Some mountainous provinces in the North such as Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son or provinces in the Central Highlands such as Kon Tum, Lam Dong, or the Mekong Delta province (Ben Tre) have organized screening of business ideas to send effective projects to the Organizing Committee.
After a period of impartial and enthusiastic work by the Jury (12 judges) of the 2018 Startup Competition, through 4 rounds of cross-judging, divided into 02 rounds, the Organizing Committee selected and announced the list of 6 projects with the highest scores to enter the final round of the 2018 Startup Competition. These projects continued to be trained to compete, selecting the First, Second, and Third prizes at the 2018 Startup Competition Final.
The 2018 Startup Competition Finals will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Ho Chi Minh City Open University (No. 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, Co Giang Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
