Dai Nam volunteer students visit and give gifts to children in Thanh Cong fishing village, Dong Tho, Thanh Hoa

On May 30, 2015, the volunteer student team of Dai Nam University visited and organized the program "Children's Day June 1", giving 33 gifts to children in Thanh Cong fishing village - Dong Tho Ward - Thanh Hoa City - Thanh Hoa Province. Although the gifts were small, only including milk, school bags, notebooks, toys and old clothes, Dai Nam students brought the children in Thanh Cong fishing village a happy and warm Children's Day.

Although located in the middle of a prosperous city, Thanh Cong fishing village is very poor, with only 45 households; people mainly live on boats following a nomadic lifestyle. The surrounding living environment of the people here is polluted, electricity and clean water must be rented from households along the river.

33 gifts are extremely meaningful spiritual gifts for children on Children's Day.

Life on a boat prevents children from going to school.

The adults go to work, leaving only the children and the elderly on the boat. Every 10 years, the people of Thanh Cong fishing village move to another place to live, so the children's education is interrupted.
