The activities of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University over the past 12 years have always strived towards the goal of changing the mindset and perfecting the personality of students through events with profound educational and humanistic meanings.

Dai Nam University Youth has demonstrated its maturity with confidence, creativity, intelligence and enthusiasm. The activities of the Youth Union not only connect and gather a large number of students to participate; create an intellectual and useful playground; bring practical and valuable experiences but also have a profound influence in the social community.

Cake of love

The charity cake is one of the annual activities of the youth of Dai Nam University.

Every year, when Tet comes, teachers and students of Dai Nam University are bustling with the activity of "Tam banh nghia tinh" (meaningful cakes), wrapping thousands of green banh chung (square glutinous rice cakes) to "bring Tet" to the less fortunate people in society.

For the past 8 years, “The Cake of Love” has become an annual activity of Dai Nam University. This humane activity has become a great lesson for students about sharing, empathy and love.

Warm winter love

“Warm Winter with Love” is one of many meaningful volunteer activities of Dai Nam University. This is also an annual activity, touching the hearts of many people. Through donations, support of money, clothes, shoes, blankets, books, school supplies, rice, salt, food, etc., Dai Nam University has shared with ethnic minorities, poor children in mountainous areas, homeless poor people, disabled children, etc., to overcome many cold winters.

Warm love porridge is one of the typical activities of the Warm love winter program.

After 6 seasons of implementation, the warm love porridge of Dai Nam University students has contributed to warming thousands of difficult circumstances.

These are a series of volunteer activities called “Warm porridge of love”; “Warm wool of love”; “Recycling bottles”, “Reunion Tet”… And especially in 2016, the Youth Union of Dai Nam University traveled hundreds of kilometers to invest in installing a library including: Projector system, computers, and hundreds of books to supplement knowledge for primary school students in the flood-hit areas of Huong Son - Ha Tinh.

Over the past decade, the green volunteer shirt of Dai Nam University has reached many roads of the country such as: Ha Giang, Son La, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Bac Giang... The green summer volunteer activities of Dai Nam University youth have contributed to helping many individuals and families in especially difficult circumstances in many provinces and cities.

Environmental activities

Faced with the current serious environmental destruction, Dai Nam University is one of the leading universities in propaganda, education, and raising awareness of environmental protection among staff, lecturers, and students.

Dai Nam University students are excited about the Green Saturday program - collecting waste at Van Quan Lake.

Over the years, the University has successfully organized many environmental activities that have left a deep impression on the student community and have had a profound impact on the social community. These include: Green Saturday - collecting waste at West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, Thu Le Park, Van Quan Lake, etc.; the week of "saying no to plastic bags and disposable plastic products"; the month of environmental protection "For a clean Hanoi", flasmost dance to call for environmental protection, recycling fashion contests, etc.

In particular, in order to educate awareness and raise responsibility for environmental protection among staff, lecturers and students; deeply spread the message of joining hands to protect the environment in the community; continue and maintain the success of environmental protection activities carried out over the past years, starting from October 30, 2019, Dai Nam University decided to stop using bottled water, plastic straws and single-use plastic items in all school activities.

Traditional camp

Not only organizing simple recreational activities for students, the Youth Union of Dai Nam University always strives to create intellectual and useful playgrounds that educate students about social responsibility. The traditional camp is an example. Each year, the school's traditional camp has a specific theme that is suitable for the general trend and situation of the country. After more than 10 times of holding the camp, it has created an explosion of more than 300 camps with the participation of more than 9,000 students.

Community-oriented cultural activities

Dai Nam University's community-oriented cultural activities are deeply educational through useful and entertaining activities, such as: Fashion shows calling for environmental protection, flashmob dancing, puzzles, Christmas gala, Halloween costume festival, fitness contest, cultural heritage-themed performances... This is a healthy and positive playground for students to exchange, connect and become more aware of their responsibilities to the community.
