With the goal of developing and expanding in-depth international cooperation in education and training, scientific research and academic exchange. On the morning of July 1, 2016, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University, along with teachers in the Board of Directors, leaders of Faculties and Departments of Dai Nam University welcomed and worked with representatives of the Free University of Brussels, Lucia de Brouckère University and Hanoi Tourism Association.

Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University, along with teachers in the Board of Directors, leaders of Faculties and Departments of Dai Nam University welcomed and worked with representatives of the Free University of Brussels, Lucia de Brouckère University and Hanoi Tourism Association, at the Conference room of Dai Nam University, campus 56 Vu Trong Phung.
On behalf of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, there were Professor of Tourism Anya Diekmann, Ms. Nathalie Lambert – Director of Economics, Lucia de Brouckère School. Also attending the meeting were members of the Hanoi Tourism Association: Dr. Nguyen Quang Lan – Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), President of the Hanoi Tourism Association (HANTA); Dr. Hoang Thi Diep – Club President, HANTA expert, Former Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Mr. Vu Chinh Dong – Deputy Secretary General, Chief of Office of HANTA….

Dai Nam University leaders work with representatives of the Free University of Brussels and Lucia de Brouckère University
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son gave a general introduction to the history of the school's establishment as well as the scale and training programs at Dai Nam University. In addition, Dr. Le Dac Son also outlined the future development orientations of the school and expressed his desire to cooperate closely with the Free University of Brussels and Lucia de Brouckère University in areas of strength and potential such as Tourism and Economics.

Responding to Dr. Le Dac Son, Ms. Anya and Ms. Nathalie expressed their deep gratitude and honor to receive the warm welcome from the leaders of Dai Nam University. The two ladies briefly introduced the history of the establishment of the two schools as well as the specialized training fields of their units. According to Ms. Anya, the Free University of Brussels is one of the three leading universities in Belgium, with many major awards such as the Nobel, Field, Wolf, and Marie Curie prizes. The school considers international cooperation activities to play a particularly important role in sustainable development as well as ensuring the free and open academic environment of the school. Ms. Anya expressed her hope that the two sides will soon have specific cooperation activities such as student and lecturer exchanges, research cooperation, organizing seminars as well as short-term training. Introducing her major in Tourism, Ms. Anya also said that she personally supports the cooperation in the tourism major between the two schools and promises to do her best to realize the cooperation. For her part, Ms. Nathalie also introduced Lucia de Brouckère University. With the strength of being a leading university training bachelors in economics in Belgium, Ms. Nathalie said that the school strongly supports cooperation in education and training to make practical contributions to society.

The participants expressed their desire for long-term cooperation and especially emphasized the realization of cooperation through practical and specific programs. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son once again thanked the representatives of the two schools and the tourism association for their presence, and wished Ms. Anya and Nathalie a fruitful working trip with good memories of the country and people of Vietnam.
