Dai Nam University visits and gives gifts to poor patients being treated at Ha Dong General Hospital

In order to provide a professional and modern practice environment for students of the Health sector including the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing; students can experience reality and be guided during their internship at the hospital, Dai Nam University has signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with many large hospitals in Hanoi, such as: Viet Duc; Bach Mai; Thanh Nhan... and Ha Dong General Hospital. Ha Dong General Hospital - a hospital near the school and a grade I general hospital in the city, has a scale of nearly 1,000 beds and a history of nearly 100 years.

Accompanying the program of Gratitude to Patients, responding to the Social Work Day on March 25, Youth Month of Ha Dong General Hospital, on the morning of March 18, Dai Nam University cooperated with the Hospital's Social Work Department to organize visits, give gifts; free hair washing week and distribute more than 400 porridge portions to patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the hospital.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal directly visited, gave gifts and encouraged the patients.

Sharing at the visit and gift-giving ceremony for patients, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University said: “Community volunteer activities are one of the traditions of the school. In addition to professional training, Dai Nam especially focuses on developing community volunteer activities so that students have the opportunity to slow down, open their hearts to sympathize, love, and share with the less fortunate in society, appreciate more what they have, thereby having learning goals and a positive attitude towards life…”

Although the gift is not large in material terms, it is the heart that Dai Nam teachers and students want to send and share with the patients.

Accordingly, Dai Nam University visited and presented 15 gifts worth 12 million VND to seriously ill and disadvantaged patients being treated at the hospital.

In addition to cash gifts, staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam Health Department also support patient care (hair washing, massage, acupressure) with the activity of Free Hair Washing Week for Patients.

Also in the program, continuing the activities of the program "Warm love porridge season 7", Dai Nam University donated 400 portions of nutritious porridge to patients.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa donated 5 million VND to support hospital fees for patient Nguyen Thi Xua.

Previously, in the program "The meaningful cake - Loving Tet, Sharing Tet 2021", Dai Nam University presented 100 Tet gifts including 10 million VND in cash and 100 Chung cakes to support patients in difficult circumstances with serious illnesses to celebrate Tet.

In response to the kindness of teachers and students of Dai Nam University, Mr. Dao Thien Tuan - Director of Ha Dong General Hospital, on behalf of the staff, civil servants, employees and patients, sent his sincere thanks to the kindness of teachers and students of Dai Nam. Mr. Tuan said that this is truly a meaningful and practical gift, both materially and spiritually, a great source of encouragement for patients to overcome the pain of illness and enjoy the joy of human warmth.

With little money and much heart, teachers and students of Dai Nam University hope to share the pain of illness and send love to help patients have more faith and determination to overcome illness and return home soon.
