With the aim of creating an intellectual and useful playground for students and young people nationwide to implement their startup ideas, helping young people have the opportunity to approach investors to realize their ideas for future success, the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University in collaboration with the Business Forum Newspaper initiated and organized the contest "Youth Startup Innovation - Dai Nam University" under the sponsorship of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VICI), Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Evaluating this intellectual playground, MSc. Pham Van Minh - Head of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University said: " The new feature of this year's competition is that in addition to projects from Academies, Universities, and Colleges, the Organizing Committee also received many startup projects from units and independent candidates. Besides the purpose of creating a startup playground for young people, this year's competition also focuses on promoting technology support and creating markets for highly applicable projects..."
The 4th Creative Youth Startup Competition – Dai Nam University 2018 has the theme “Green Agriculture”. After a short time of launching, the Organizing Committee has received more than 100 startup ideas from Academies, Universities, Colleges, and Provincial Youth Unions across the country. After a tense preliminary round, the Organizing Committee has selected the 5 best projects to compete in the final round held on September 19 at Dai Nam University.
“ Young people really need intellectual playgrounds like this to assert themselves and bring their startup ideas to investors. This is truly an opportunity for young people to learn and start a successful business in the future…” Prof. Dr. Tran Duy Quy – Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Science and Technology Cooperation shared.

Participating in the final round of Creative Youth Startup - Dai Nam University 2018 include the following projects: Ha Thanh Mushroom Farm Project (Vietnam Agricultural Academy); Project on growing clean melons and vegetables in greenhouses using agricultural and biological waste (Thanh Hoa Province); Black Wood Pig Herbal Pig Farm Project (group of students from the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University); Project on applying modern irrigation technology to the production and distribution of fruit bags towards clean and sustainable agriculture (Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union) and Project on producing Northwest herbal wine (Thai Binh University).
The teams had a maximum of 7 minutes to present their projects and a maximum of 10 minutes to answer questions from the judges.

With the right direction, good topic, right target audience, low investment but quick profit, profound social significance, confident, convincing and creative presentation, the project "Black Wood Pig Herbal Pig Farm" of the group of students from the Faculty of Business Administration - Dai Nam University has excellently surpassed other teams to win first prize in the Creative Youth Startup Competition - Dai Nam University 2018.
The second prize went to the project “Application of modern irrigation technology in the production and distribution of fruit bags towards clean and sustainable agriculture” of Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union. The third prize went to the project “Ha Thanh Mushroom Farm” of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture. The two consolation prizes went to the project on producing Northwest herbal wine of Thai Binh University and the project on growing clean melons and vegetables in greenhouses using agricultural and biological waste of Thanh Hoa Province.
Unable to hide her joy and emotion when winning the highest prize of the competition, contestant Tran Thi Minh Hoa shared: “ This year’s startup projects are all excellent and are strong “competitors” of each other. I am very happy and moved when my team received the highest prize of the competition. Surely after this competition, our startup ideas will receive the support of many investors to achieve success in the nearest future possible…”
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for all 5 projects. The head of Dai Nam University believes that with creativity, youthful enthusiasm and the support of investors, all 5 projects will be successfully applied in the near future and bring positive signals to the country's agriculture . "In the coming years, Dai Nam University will continue to be a "bridge" to help connect the startup ideas of students and young people nationwide with investors, creating favorable conditions for young people to realize their startup ideas, leading to success in the future...", Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized.

The third prize went to the project “Ha Thanh Mushroom Farm” of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
