Starting from the end of December 2015 to the beginning of January 2016, students of Dai Nam University began to take the final exam of the first semester, the 2015-2016 school year. In the cold of winter, with the Christmas and New Year atmosphere filling the air, students all tried to concentrate and review to achieve the best results and win scholarships.

It can be said that the final exam is the decisive exam for students, so the exam review period is always a rushed period, inevitably filled with pressure and stress. However, in addition to students having to make their own review plans, subject teachers also help and support students in synthesizing knowledge for exam review. With the training motto of Dai Nam University being theory linked to practice, in addition to acquiring knowledge in the classroom, Dai Nam students are always given the opportunity to go to the field, participate in extracurricular activities and seminars. For in-class learning, group work always takes place regularly, helping students develop their abilities and skills, while building a sense of responsibility and teamwork style. It is this learning method that helps students accumulate knowledge, remember longer and improve their skills more. That is very helpful for students in the "sprint" exam review process.

Dang Mai Huong Ly, class QHCC - TT 07-01, really likes group study and this is also the method that Ly often uses when studying and reviewing for exams: “I really like group work because it is very effective. For subjects with a lot of words, I think that as long as you understand the nature of the problem correctly and research related documents yourself, you can master the knowledge, avoiding the situation of memorizing and rote learning. I often review for exams in groups with my classmates in the library, when we discuss together, check our knowledge, correct mistakes and supplement each other, so we remember the lessons very quickly and review for exams feels easier.”

Group study method, under the guidance of lecturers in class, has helped students synthesize knowledge quickly and remember lessons during the sprint exam review period.

Vo Sy Thanh Dat, a student in the Economic Law class 09-01, chose a different way to review for the exam: “ As a first-year student, when I entered the final exam, I was very worried. However, to achieve the best results in the exam, I created a study method for myself, which was to make an outline and create a tree diagram. Making an outline helps me summarize the knowledge I learned in a semester, then I use the tree diagram to summarize what I learned. The tree diagram has given me good logic, long-term memory and science .”

That is for students of economics and social sciences, but for students studying Pharmacy, they all have a common feeling of anxiety and pressure before the exam. With the characteristics of Pharmacy, the study time is 5 years, so the number of subjects and credits is larger than other majors. Studying Pharmacy requires students to concentrate fully and study seriously to achieve good results.

In addition to the theory exam, pharmacy students must also take a practical exam.

Nguyen Hong Nhung and Nguyen Hong Van, from Pharmacy class 08-02, shared the same thoughts after finishing the Organic Chemistry practical exam: “We found the exam questions not difficult, however, I found that studying Pharmacy has more difficult subjects than other Economics and Social Sciences. Therefore, during the exam preparation period, we felt more stressed and pressured. This year's exam schedule is tight and consecutive, so we don't have much time to prepare, some days we have to study until 3-4am. But this is the major we love, so we will try our best, put aside other plans to focus on preparing for the exam.”

Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy take the opportunity to review their lessons before entering the practical exam room.

Vu Thu Huong, class 08-02 Pharmacy, took advantage of the time to finish one exam, sat in the room to review for the second exam, and shared with strong determination: " Studying Pharmacy, every subject is difficult, so it requires me to try much harder. Last semester I won a scholarship and this semester I will also try to review to continue to win the scholarship, helping my parents pay the tuition fee."

After finishing the practical exam in Organic Chemistry, Vu Thu Huong - Pharmacy class 08-02 took the time to review the subject of the Communist Party of Vietnam's Guidelines.

Along with reviewing for semester exams, Dai Nam University students are still very active in participating in school activities. Wishing you effective review, high results in the exam but please take care of your health to welcome a new year full of vitality!
