Recently, the final round of the 2018 Dai Nam Golden Microphone contest of Dai Nam University took place in an exciting and dramatic atmosphere. Accordingly, the Organizing Committee selected the 6 best contestants of the contest to award prizes worthy of professional MC talent.

The 2018 Dai Nam Golden Microphone Contest is jointly organized by the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications (QHCC&TT), the Faculty of Economic Law and the Youth Union of Dai Nam University. The 2018 Dai Nam Golden Microphone Jury includes: Journalist, poet Hong Thanh Quang, Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Head of the Contest's Judging Board; Editor, MC Quoc Anh, Vietnam Television; Stylist, Aesthetic Designer Anthony Lam; Journalist, Editor Vu Nam Khang, Vietnam National Assembly Television; TV MC Pham Hong Phong, Director of Ocean Team Media Company, lecturer of the Program Hosting Skills Department of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications (Dai Nam University).

The Dai Nam Golden Microphone Contest aims to create opportunities for Dai Nam University students who love the MC job to demonstrate their abilities and talents. This is also a playground for students majoring in PR - Communications to practice professional skills and gain real-life experience. Dai Nam Golden Microphone is a practical event, training self-development skills, enhancing creativity, cooperation and solidarity among members of Dai Nam University.

Accordingly, the contest results selected 6 candidates who deserved to receive honorable awards. The first prize went to candidate Vo Sy Thanh Dat (Faculty of Economic Law) worth 5 million VND; The second prize went to candidate Nguyen Thao Linh (Faculty of Public Administration and Communications) worth 3 million VND; The third prize went to Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Faculty of Business Administration) worth 2 million VND. The jury also awarded three additional prizes to the candidates, each worth 1 million VND: Impressive MC Award went to candidate Vu Thi Phuong Thao (Faculty of Pharmacy); Promising MC Award went to Nguyen Thi Ngan (Faculty of Public Administration and Communications) and Friendly MC Award went to candidate Nguyen Ba Ngoc An (Faculty of Pharmacy). All the winning and participating candidates received gifts from the sponsors.

Journalist Hong Thanh Quang and Ms. Cao Thi Hoa presented awards to the contestants.

This year, all contestants are highly regarded for their potential as MCs, so choosing the best contestants has become a difficult problem for the judges to consider in terms of talent, acting, costumes, confidence, etc.

Journalist Hong Thanh Quang, Head of the Jury, commented: “The students selected for the final round all have good presentation skills and are confident. I hope that in the future, the school will continue to pay attention to this student activity, and may even expand the number of contestants so that the Golden Microphone Award can become a great challenge for young students in particular and young people in general.”

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa (Vice Principal of the School) also expressed her feelings: “Young people today are so talented, it’s just a small school-level competition but you guys are really like professional MCs. So proud!”

Ms. Le Thi Nha - Head of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication (Head of the Organizing Committee) said: "Dai Nam Golden Microphone 2018 is not only a competition but also a place for students to learn and share; to practice courage and confidence; to demonstrate knowledge, creativity and especially awareness, responsibility and love for work".

Journalist Hoang Minh Hang (The Beautiful World magazine), the media sponsor of the contest, hopes: "Through the 2018 Dai Nam Golden Microphone contest, I hope to find talented students to participate in my unit's media activities and introduce them to other press and media units, organizations and businesses in need."

The 2018 Dai Nam Golden Microphone Contest not only encourages students to constantly strive and demonstrate their talents; but also opens the door to opportunities, helping them have an environment to study, practice, and hone their skills, so they can confidently enter the world of work right after graduation.
