Mr. Truong Anh Tuan, Vice President of VFOSSA - FEDORA global ambassador in Vietnam shared with the congress the inevitable trend of developing free and open source software in the world and in Vietnam. Mr. Truong Anh Tuan also shared with the club members his experience in gradually participating in open source communities, affirming that the success of students must be based on the initiative of the students themselves.

When the Foss Club enters a new term, it is also time to welcome a new class of members with a desire to learn and improve their knowledge with a special interest in the IT industry as well as in Free and Open Source Software. At the ceremony, students of the Foss Club of Dai Nam University can have the opportunity to have their difficulties and problems in accessing open communities and technologies resolved, and students can interact with seniors who have achieved many successes in the field of open technology.
In the Open Source community, Openstack – a Cloud operating system initiated by NASA and rackspace and having a project in 2010 – is being developed and attracts many students to learn and study. Mr. Le Quang Hieu and Mr. To Thanh Cong are two representatives of the Openstack community who enthusiastically shared their early experiences, difficulties, and initial focuses and efforts when first touching Openstack.

Mr. Le Quang Hieu - Head of Openstack community representative in Vietnam.
Exchanging experiences with representatives from many businesses is an extremely useful part, not only the usual knowledge exchange, but also the sharing of experiences, research, and when starting to work and embarking on projects, representatives from businesses enthusiastically answer questions and solve problems for students in the Club.
In addition to communicating and solving problems, representatives of Fedora and Openstack made suggestions to help Dai Nam students to intern and learn at some businesses.
However, many students believe that in order to access technologies applied to businesses, students need to experience them on technology devices at school. Understanding the concerns and questions about equipment during training and actual operations, the IT department has invested in a network and server system like a real business for students to practice (Server 2CPU, 64GB RAM, HDD 2TB and Router 2811, Switch 3750, and many other infrastructure devices), with the motto "Learning goes hand in hand with practice". At the same time, the IT department has also officially assigned the task to Mr. Le Ngoc An, who has experience participating in open source training projects for the Vietnam Electricity Group, abbreviated as EVN (EVN Northern High Voltage Grid) along with many other projects, in charge of guiding students to access new technologies in networking and virtualization.

Teacher Le Ngoc An - Representative of the IT department shared his experience and introduced the server system of Dai Nam University.

With the contributions and enthusiastic support of its members, the Foss Club of Dai Nam University students is not only gradually developing but also gradually affirming that this is a learning environment for students who love information technology and open source to have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share experiences, practice skills, and promote scientific research skills. In addition, these are also valuable opportunities for club members as well as Dai Nam University students to have the opportunity to interact with businesses in the open source community, thereby being able to improve their knowledge and practical applications in their current and future studies and research.
The Congress ended successfully and well, leaving a good impression on the distinguished guests, delegates and members of the Foss Club of Dai Nam University students.
