Dai Nam University's Faculty of Communication brings virtual studio into online teaching and learning

With the aim of providing students with interesting learning experiences, the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University has recently effectively applied the virtual space model to teaching. This is considered an appropriate adaptive solution, both contributing to the effective prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and ensuring normal teaching and learning activities.
The virtual space model is created from the application of information technology, especially using the computer graphics function. The highlight of the model is that each lecturer when standing in class will become a "speaker" in a lively, attractive virtual space, thereby helping students access knowledge flexibly and effectively.
The virtual studio model will include a range of interactive activities that will help students connect and engage in online learning just as they would in a classroom setting. Learning activities will include:
- A system of weekly lesson outline and summary videos.
- Rich and detailed learning materials with instructor explanations.
- Discuss the main ideas of the lesson with classmates in online forums.
- Live online chats with instructors – these will be saved and shared with other students.
- Online activities to practice and demonstrate how to develop skills.
- Instructors provide feedback on student progress.
It can be seen that the application of virtual space in online teaching is a bold step to anticipate the trend of digital technology transformation of the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University. This is considered a suitable adaptive solution, both contributing to the effective prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and ensuring normal teaching and learning activities.
