The project "Black Wood Pig Farm" is one of 3 projects (in the Top 6) from universities and colleges, the remaining 3 projects are from large companies and enterprises; in particular, the startup project of Dai Nam University students is the only project from universities and colleges in the North to make it to the final round.

Sharing about the project “Black Wood Pig Farm”, MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy - lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University, said: This is a fairly new business project, developed on the model of raising black pigs from family scale to farm scale. Black pigs are raised with Mr. Dau's herbal bran - a type of bran that has been granted an exclusive patent. The purpose of the project is to preserve the precious black pig breed, create jobs for local people and promote the product nationwide.

"With outstanding advantages such as novelty, uniqueness, high feasibility and not too large investment capital, the "Black Wood Pig" project has excellently entered the Top 6 finalists of the 2018 National Startup Competition. In the upcoming final round, the whole team will try to achieve the best results to bring honor to the school" - MSc. Thuy said.

The project “Black Wood Pig Farm” won first prize in the contest “Youth Start-up – Creativity – Dai Nam University 2018”.

It is known that before the "Black Wood Pig" project, the "Chicken Farm" project of students of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University also entered the final round and won first prize in the National Startup Competition in 2016. This is an annual competition initiated and organized by the Business Forum Newspaper every year. The competition aims to stimulate creativity, dynamic thinking, and inspire business for the young generation nationwide. Through setting up business startup projects and learning about business, young people will gain experience and knowledge about business. More importantly, from the competition, projects will be consulted to complete, connected with investors for the project and supported to establish a business.

In particular, to participate in the national startup competition, participating projects must achieve top 10 results in the school/school cluster/regional competition. Previously, the "Black Wood Pig" project won first prize in the "Creative Youth Startup - Dai Nam University 2018" competition.
