Dai Nam University - National Champion of 'Drug-Free School 2024': An Inspirational Journey

With a sense of community responsibility and efforts to create a clean school environment, Dai Nam University (DNU) has excellently achieved the National Champion title in the “Drug-Free School 2024” contest. The journey from the first prize in the North to the national champion position is a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, creativity and community responsibility of Dai Nam students, contributing to the mission of building a healthy, safe and drug-free learning environment.

Aspiration to build a peaceful learning community

The “Drug-Free School” contest, organized by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Vietnam Television, aims to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of drugs and promote the building of a clean school community. This is also the value that Dai Nam University always preserves, through each generation of students.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Principal, shared: “Dai Nam University is always committed to building a learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also protects and nurtures human personality. Participating in the competition, the Dai Nam University team demonstrated high determination and creativity through each round from presentation, project to talent competition. Thanks to careful preparation and solidarity, the team not only won the first prize in the North but also excellently achieved the title of National Champion. In addition, Dai Nam also won important secondary awards such as: "Best Project" and "Team with the best talent competition".

Tran Van Chung - a student of class TTĐPT 18-02, said: “I feel extremely honored, touched and proud to be a member of the 'Drug-free School 2024' team. Like the saying in our competition, it is "a long journey but every step is meaningful when we work together to contribute to a drug-free community that is not just a dream but will become a reality"...”

Thuy Linh - a student of TTĐPT class 1501 shared: “The competition is not only a playground for knowledge, but also an opportunity for each individual student to be more deeply aware of the harmful effects of drugs. To achieve the best results, the whole team tried very hard and made efforts every day. There were nights when we were still outside the project area until 1am to complete the final stages. There was pressure, there were difficulties, but above all, with the spirit of solidarity, we overcame everything. Thanks to the enthusiastic support from teachers, we were motivated to complete all rounds of the competition excellently. We are very happy with this result. For me, this is a wonderful mark to conclude 4 years of full university at DNU…”

Accompanying the Dai Nam University team through the rounds, Minh Duc - a student of the Faculty of Law said that he was deeply impressed by the team's confidence, creativity and message about a safe, healthy school environment, free of social evils. "Accompanying the team, I was really attracted by their confidence and enthusiasm. Every word and action of the team was like an affirmation of their determination to build a safe and healthy school environment. The image of Dai Nam students confidently presenting, the creative ideas presented, all left a deep impression on me. It was not just a competition, but also a strong commitment of the young generation to building a clean school community, creating a safe and happy learning and experience environment. I believe that, with our efforts, we will build a more beautiful society." Duc expressed.

People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac: The confidence and creativity in the presentation helped the Dai Nam University team stand out from other teams, leaving a deep impression on the judges and the audience.
