Encouraging achievements
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son said: “The 2017-2018 school year ended with many encouraging achievements. All activities of the School are stable and operating in an orderly manner. The enrollment plan basically ensures the target. The teaching staff and training programs are increasingly improved and the quality is improved in accordance with the direction of the School. International training cooperation activities; postgraduate training, undergraduate training and articulation in the past school year also achieved many positive results. The conditions of facilities and teaching and learning equipment are consolidated, better serving teaching and learning. Scientific research activities of lecturers and students; Union and Association activities; social work, career guidance... in the year The last school year also had many positive changes and achieved good results."

Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed that these achievements were thanks to the solidarity and tireless efforts of the staff and lecturers. He hoped that in the new school year 2018-2019, that spirit would continue to be maintained and multiplied to a new level so that the School could successfully carry out all tasks of the school year.
In addition to the achievements, the Chairman of the Board of Directors also pointed out some remaining limitations and required them to be thoroughly overcome in the 2018-2019 school year.
Opportunities and challenges
At the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son also discussed with all the staff about the overall picture of Vietnamese higher education and the competition between schools. “ Currently, universities have to compete fiercely to affirm their training quality, reputation and brand. Only by affirming quality, enhancing reputation and brand, can universities, especially non-public universities, survive and develop. Accordingly, schools that are slow to innovate, stagnant in improving quality, investing little in staff, facilities, practice and reality will fall behind, face difficulties in recruiting and not retaining students…”, Dr. Son shared.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors also said that currently, when registering to study any profession, candidates have to research, consider and choose very carefully. And the issues that candidates are most concerned about are the training quality, the reputation of the school; the popularity of the profession they study; the quality of lecturers; the school's facilities and finally the output... " Therefore, Dai Nam University needs to actively promote its strengths, effectively overcome its limitations to improve the quality of training, enhance its reputation and brand, and become a trusted university training address for society. In the coming school year, it is necessary to quickly complete the teaching roadmap, diversify the training professions, actively innovate teaching and learning methods, eliminate prejudices about public and private schools, and strengthen internal school activities...", Dr. Le Dac Son directed.
Also at the meeting, the Board of Directors and all staff of the School were shared by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nha - former General Secretary of the National Talent Development Project about methods to improve the quality of university teaching and directions to overcome remaining difficulties.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nha shared with all the staff of Dai Nam University.
