Dai Nam University meets educational quality accreditation standards, teachers and students "benefit" together

With the vision of building a multidisciplinary university, developing in an applied direction, striving to become a training address that is highly trusted by society for its training quality "learning linked to real life" by 2025; achieving important achievements in research and technology transfer in the field of science to protect and care for community health, actively contributing to the development of a prosperous Vietnam, right from the first days of its establishment, Dai Nam University has paid special attention to the quality assessment of educational institutions. With all its efforts and aspirations, on November 20, 2019, Dai Nam University officially received the Certificate of Quality Assessment of Educational Institutions according to the new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Dai Nam University is the 8th university to achieve educational quality accreditation according to the new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

With the result of achieving 97/111 criteria, 23/25 criteria are assessed as strengths, Dai Nam University became the 23rd non-public university out of 60 non-public universities to meet the standards of educational quality assessment and the 8th university to be recognized according to the new set of assessment standards of the Ministry (as of early November 2019).

Speaking at the ceremony to announce and award the Certificate of Educational Institution Quality Assessment to Dai Nam University, Dr. Le My Phong - Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the University, and expressed his confidence that with the right development orientation, Dai Nam University will continue to grow and develop, making positive contributions to the cause of education and training of high-quality human resources for society.

For Dai Nam University: The process of reviewing the quality of education from the outside through rigorous survey and evaluation activities helps Dai Nam University improve and enhance the quality of education in a sustainable way. The process of assessing the quality of educational institutions also helps the University gradually meet the set development goals, ensuring the educational goals of the Law on Higher Education, in accordance with the requirements of training high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the country.

External assessment activities are carried out by experts with experience in training, research and management of higher education, with accreditation training certificates and/or accreditation cards. Therefore, the quality of accreditation of Dai Nam University's educational institutions is more objective and prestigious.

Dai Nam University's practice of assessing the quality of educational institutions also creates a premise for building a quality culture for the school, helping each cadre, lecturer and employee in the school better understand their work, that of those involved, and know how to achieve the best quality. This means that a quality culture will gradually form at the school, better serving the common goal.

In particular, with the recognized quality assessment results, according to the provisions of the revised Law on Higher Education effective from July 1, 2019, Dai Nam University has more autonomy in training and training management (opening new training majors, proactively determining enrollment targets according to training capacity and conditions, implementing joint training programs, etc.)

For students and trainees: According to the assessment results of the Center for Education Quality Assessment - Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges, Dai Nam University achieved 97/111 criteria, 23/25 criteria were assessed as strengths. This is a fairly high result at the training institution level. This not only affirms the training quality of Dai Nam University to society but also clearly demonstrates the value of degrees for students and trainees who have, are and will study at the school. In addition, this quality assurance will attract more business partners, thereby bringing many internship opportunities for students and trainees after graduation.

Dai Nam University achieved the accreditation of educational institution quality with the contents of Quality assurance in strategy (8 standards - 37 criteria); Quality assurance in system (4 standards - 19 criteria); Quality assurance in function implementation (5 standards - 39 criteria); Operational results (9 standards - 16 criteria) and was evaluated on a 7-level scale, surveying and evaluating all training results, scientific research results, community service results and financial - market results of the University.

Dai Nam University continues to implement quality assessment of training programs

It is known that in 2020, Dai Nam University will carry out self-assessment of 13 undergraduate training programs, 02 master's training programs and register for accreditation of 03 undergraduate training programs, including: Pharmacy, Information Technology and English Language.

In the long term, Dai Nam University will continue to prepare the necessary conditions and resources to move towards accreditation of all existing training programs of the school according to the new standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
