Dai Nam University meets all strict requirements for training in E-commerce.

“State management agencies and enterprises will need a large number of workers who are well-trained and specialized in the field of e-commerce.” That is the opinion of Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen - Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy about the human resource needs of the e-commerce industry at the Council for Appraisal of Training Programs and Conditions for Ensuring the Quality of E-commerce Training of Dai Nam University (afternoon of March 22).
SUPPLY does not meet DEMAND
The training program evaluation board of Dai Nam University has gathered leading experts in the field of E-commerce.
At the evaluation session of the e-commerce training program, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen commented that this is one of the hot majors; the leading and promising choice of dynamic young people in the context of the 4.0 digital economy.
Not only affirming that in the future, state management agencies and enterprises will need a large number of workers who are well-trained and specialized in the field of e-commerce, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen also said that currently, training facilities have not met the human resource needs of this industry. Supply does not meet demand, forcing agencies and enterprises to recruit in the wrong field and waste time and money to retrain personnel to meet job requirements.
Dr. Nguyen Duc Tai - Head of the Faculty of E-Commerce, Dai Nam University presented the Project to open a major before the Appraisal Council.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - former Head of the Faculty of E-commerce, University of Commerce, Chairman of the program evaluation board, pioneer in opening the E-commerce industry in Vietnam also affirmed: "High-quality human resources to meet the needs in the process of national digital transformation are still very lacking."
As an employer on the evaluation board, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Commodity Exchange said: "We have to continuously recruit, train and retrain candidates in E-commerce to meet the actual requirements of the job."
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam is currently considered one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia. In addition, with a population of over 95 million people, a young population and a high proportion of Internet users, this is the basis for the Vietnamese e-commerce market to continue to grow in the future.
Members of the Council for evaluating training programs and conditions for ensuring training quality of the E-commerce major at Dai Nam University.
In 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to focus on developing e-commerce infrastructure, building and perfecting institutions and legal frameworks for e-commerce, creating a transparent, clear and favorable legal environment for Vietnamese businesses and consumers. Also in 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will focus resources on promoting the implementation of the National E-commerce Development Master Plan for the 2021-2025 period approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 645/QD-CP dated May 15, 2020.
Accordingly, with a solid legal framework and the strong support of the internet and media, e-commerce will have more opportunities to develop strongly in the future, becoming a destination for talented young people.
Dai Nam University meets the conditions for training high-quality human resources in the field of E-commerce.
Digital transformation has been, is and will continue to be an inevitable trend of the economy.
Grasping that trend, Dai Nam University built conditions for training bachelors in E-commerce and presented them to the program evaluation board.
Speaking at the Appraisal Council, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - Chairman of the Council affirmed that Dai Nam University opening the E-commerce major is completely correct, in line with the inevitable development trend of society.
As Chairman of the Evaluation Council, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Minh acknowledged and highly appreciated the training program as well as the conditions to ensure the quality of training in the E-commerce industry of Dai Nam, especially the difference in focusing on training soft skills, foreign languages, information technology and attitudes for learners.
Dai Nam University acknowledges the comments of experts and will complete the Project to open majors for enrollment in the 2021-2022 school year.
From the perspective of State management, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen - reviewer 1 assessed that the training program of Dai Nam E-commerce Faculty is complete and elaborate. The necessary and sufficient conditions for opening majors, enrollment and training are guaranteed. Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen further suggested: the school needs to clarify the quality of output standards, focusing on emphasizing the differences of the training program.
Dr. Nguyen Duc Tai - Head of Dai Nam E-commerce Faculty and members of the Appraisal Council.
Dr. Chu Ba Quyet - reviewer 2 comments on adjusting the number of subjects and credits in the training program framework. According to Dr. Chu Ba Quyet, the training objectives need to be shortened, the subjects need to be carefully reviewed again to develop truly effective subjects.
From a business perspective, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung believes that the number of credits in the current training program is quite large, so it is necessary to focus on core knowledge and orientation - so that students can apply e-commerce proficiently or train students to become startups.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cong Sach - Secretary of the Council highly supports the opening of the E-commerce major at Dai Nam University. Regarding the training program framework, the school should reduce it to about 124 credits, creating favorable conditions for enrollment, increasing the competitiveness of the major. The training program structure of 35% basic knowledge is quite a lot for an application-oriented training program, the school should reserve space for industry knowledge and skills training.
At the end of the working session, the Appraisal Council unanimously approved the Project to open the E-commerce major of Dai Nam University. The members of the Council believe that, with its advantages, Dai Nam will become a prestigious training address for E-commerce and digital economy.
E-commerce is one of three new majors of Dai Nam University that will officially enroll students in the 2021-2022 school year. It is expected that the E-commerce industry will enroll 100 students according to two admission methods. - Method 1: Consider 12th grade transcripts according to a combination of 03 subjects. - Method 2: Consider 2021 high school graduation exam scores. |
