On the morning of November 15, Dai Nam University jubilantly held the 11th anniversary celebration and celebrated Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

Attending the ceremony were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Doan Hong Nam - Member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Dac Lam - Member of the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors and all staff and lecturers of the school.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors delivered the opening speech at the 11th Anniversary of the school's founding on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

11 years of building and growing

Exactly 11 years ago, the Prime Minister signed a decision allowing Dai Nam University to officially start operating and enroll its first class. Since the fall of that year, Dai Nam University officially took November 14 as the school's founding day, and Dr. Le Dac Son officially became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the school.

To achieve this historic decision, Dr. Le Dac Son (former General Director of VP Bank for 9 years) and 12 scientists started to build a project to establish the school under the auspices of the Vietnam Construction Association. After nearly 2.5 years of building the necessary and sufficient conditions, ensuring training quality, facilities, and operating license, Dai Nam University was granted the establishment decision by the Prime Minister and the recognition decision by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son expressed his gratitude and sincere congratulations to nearly 500 staff and lecturers who are teaching, working and studying at the school. He shared: “The 11-year journey of building and developing Dai Nam University has gone through many difficulties and hardships. However, with the efforts and dedication of the school's leaders and colleagues; the trust and solidarity of the staff and lecturers, Dai Nam University has gradually overcome difficulties and challenges, affirmed its reputation, brand and grown as strong as it is today…”

The celebration ceremony was attended by nearly 500 staff and lecturers.

11 years is not long but it is enough to prove a journey of building and developing a university. Dai Nam University, after 11 years of striving, has grown and confidently stood in the ranks of prestigious universities in Vietnam .

“Today’s success of Dai Nam University is thanks to the tireless efforts of the leadership team, staff, and lecturers through years of dedication… ” Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized.

Development strategy to 2025 and vision to 2030

Also at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son approved the development strategy of Dai Nam University until 2025 and vision to 2030. Specifically:

Regarding its mission, Dai Nam University provides knowledge for students to develop comprehensively and adapt to the demands of society. Teachers and students are dedicated to contributing to the construction and development of a strong and prosperous country.

Dr. Le Dac Son approved the development strategy of Dai Nam University until 2015 and vision to 2030.

In terms of vision, Dai Nam University is a university providing multidisciplinary training services with the core training axis being community health protection and care. The school develops in an applied direction. By 2025, Dai Nam University will become a training address highly trusted by society for its training quality of "learning closely linked to real life"; achieving important achievements in research and technology transfer in the field of science of community health protection and care.

About educational philosophy: "Learning to change" is the educational philosophy of the School. Society is constantly moving and changing under the strong influence of knowledge. Science and technology are developing extremely rapidly, requiring each person to continuously learn to adapt for a living and the pursuit of happiness. Learn anytime, anywhere to have enough knowledge to change thinking, change the way of working and change life.

Regarding core values, “accumulating social trust” through the best quality and training efficiency suitable for the cost of learners’ contributions; the spirit of dedication, dedication with passion for work creates the noble value of the staff, lecturers and generations of students of Dai Nam University; the integrity, uprightness in professional expertise and lifestyle, respect for human dignity, respect for the law of the staff, lecturers; all breakthrough successes originate from individual creativity and talent, but the key to ensuring success is the intelligence and solidarity of the collective; innovation for sustainable development on the foundation of inheriting traditional values…

Ceremony to honor groups and individuals who have completed their tasks excellently

Recognizing the contributions of advanced collectives and individuals in the development of the School, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management read the award decision. Accordingly, 15 advanced collectives and 57 individuals were honored at the Ceremony.

Honoring advanced individuals who successfully completed their tasks in the 2017-2018 school year.

11 years – The journey is not necessarily long but it is enough to affirm the survival of a training model, the correctness of a development path… Over the past 11 years, Dai Nam University has always maximized the potential capacity, creativity, and autonomy of every individual working and studying at the school. The goal of the school is to train human resources in the direction of vocational application, contributing to building a prosperous country without the goal of profit.

In the afternoon of the same day, staff, lecturers and students from all over the school participated in the DNU Amazing Race 2018 - Challenge to Change . Surpassing 14 competing teams, the Faculty of Information Technology officially became the Champion of the competition ; the Faculty of Economic Law won the second prize; the Center for Continuing Education in Pharmacy won the third prize, the remaining teams won the consolation prize.

In the afternoon of the same day, staff, lecturers and students from all over the school participated in the DNU Amazing Race 2018 - Challenge to Change .
