"Dai Nam University in me" is to look back proudly to move forward confidently

“When it comes to Dai Nam University, saying I love it is not enough. I am truly attached to the common home in everything, every single thing…”; “Dai Nam University in me is a proud look back to boldly move forward…” That is one of the shares of the contestants in the writing contest “Dai Nam University in me”.

With the aim of widely disseminating to each staff, lecturer and student the Vision - Mission - Educational Philosophy - Core Values of the University; so that each individual can look back at themselves and have a deeper understanding of the values that Dai Nam University has been building over the past 12 years, Dai Nam University launched and successfully organized a writing contest with the theme "Dai Nam University in me".

After 1 week of launching, the Organizing Committee received more than 4,000 entries from staff, lecturers and students across the school.

“ The contest was not only successful in terms of the number of entries but also in terms of quality. There were many emotions and useful contributions for the common development of the University. Dai Nam University needs that, we appreciate the feelings and contributions of all staff, lecturers and students…”, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, Dai Nam University commented.

The jury was fair and serious in marking the final round.

According to Ms. Cao Thi Hoa, the contest "Dai Nam University in me" is an opportunity for each staff member, lecturer and student in the school to better understand the values that the school has consistently built over the past 12 years. The contest also aims to raise awareness and responsibility of each individual as a member of Dai Nam University.

With so many emotions rekindled, “Dai Nam University in me” is “proudly looking back” to “confidently move forward” of the staff and lecturers as shared by Thai Thi Thu Phuong - Head of the Administration Department. “ I have been at Dai Nam for 7 years now (March 2012). Although there were happy and sad times, Dai Nam has allowed me to be myself; to develop my strengths, to learn things I did not know from colleagues and talented leaders ”, Ms. Thai Thi Thu Phuong wrote in her contest entry.

As the "judges", teachers are dedicated to selecting excellent exam papers.

After a rigorous preliminary round and final round, the Organizing Committee has selected the best entries to award prizes. Specifically:

On the staff and lecturer side: First prize went to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Loan - lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; Second prize went to Ms. Pham Thi Bich Ngoc - lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Kieu - staff of the Center for Continuing Education in Pharmacy; Third prize went to Ms. Pham Thi Dung - lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism, Ms. Thai Thu Phuong - International Affairs Department, Mr. Duong Thanh Tung - lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

" For me and my colleagues, no one can measure the hardships and sacrifices, the contributions and sharing of generations of staff and lecturers in the school. Day by day, we have worked hard to see Dai Nam take shape, grow strong, and move forward steadily... I am truly proud and happy," shared Master. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Loan.

The School Board awarded prizes to the high-achieving entries of staff and lecturers.

On the student side: First prize went to Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen - Faculty of Accounting; Trinh Thi Hong - Faculty of Economic Law and Nguyen Dac Vu - Faculty of Information Technology; Third prize went to Dinh Thi Hong Nhung - Faculty of Business Administration; Nguyen Thi Kieu Trang - Faculty of Pharmacy; Nguyen Thi Lien - Pharmacy Interconnection and 4 excellent entries won Encouragement prizes.

The Board of Directors presented awards to the winning students.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University said: " The contributions of the staff, lecturers and students in the school show their trust, love, attachment and aspiration to share the hardships for the development of the school. That is the greatest success of the competition ."

Through the contest, so much passion, love for the profession, love for the school, love for the class, love for the educational philosophy " Learning to change " has been expressed in a calm and profound way.
