Dai Nam University: From teachers' dedication to educational transformation with OBE standards

The training course on building and developing training programs (CTDT) according to OBE output standards at Dai Nam University is not simply a professional activity but also a testament to the spirit of dedication, devotion and responsibility of the teaching staff in the journey of innovation in higher education.

Decoding the OBE Standard: The Journey from Perception to Practice

During 4 consecutive days, all lecturers and managers of Dai Nam University participated in an intensive training course on the method of building training programs according to the OBE output standard approach. Under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, an expert in educational quality assessment, the program not only provided theoretical knowledge but also practical lessons through the analysis of the current training programs of the school.

Teachers are guided step by step in designing output standards, adjusting course content and evaluating learning outcomes to suit practical requirements. Modern learning methods, from presentations, group work to practice, have inspired creativity and responsibility in each participant.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Vice Principal of the school, said: "The content is provided systematically, from theory to practice, helping lecturers and managers confidently implement OBE into the training program."

The success of the training course was marked by the enthusiastic and responsible participation of the teaching staff. Each session was a testament to the teachers’ eagerness to learn and desire for innovation, thereby creating substantial changes in the way of teaching and training management.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department, shared: "The course helped me have a fresh perspective on university education, from building output standards to designing teaching methods associated with practice."

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh Hue - Head of Pharmacy Department, commented: "The training course is the answer I have been looking for for a long time, helping me to have a clearer direction on how to improve the Pharmacy training program to be most effective and practical."

The training course not only focuses on building training programs according to international output standards and improving teaching capacity, but also opens up important strategic directions for the school. Specifically:

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training course "Building and developing training programs according to the OBE output standard approach" on the morning of January 9, Dr. Le Dac Son, Chairman of the School Council, emphasized: "We are constantly striving to improve to train generations of students with real capacity, ready to meet the requirements of society and the labor market."
