On February 9, 2015, over 1,000 Chung cakes carefully wrapped and boiled by staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University were delivered by the school to patients with serious illnesses, lonely elderly people and families in difficult circumstances in Hanoi.

Dai Nam University donated 500 cakes to patients with hemophilia and leukemia who are being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. 400 cakes were given to cancer patients at K2 Hospital. During the charity journey, Dai Nam University also cooperated with Tri Thuc Tre Newspaper to give 30 gifts to 30 blind people with the most difficult circumstances and serious illnesses at the Tay Ho District Blind Association, Cau Giay District Blind Association and Ba Dinh District Blind Association, each gift worth 500 thousand VND and a Chung cake.

In addition, on February 9, the Student Volunteer Team also came to give a gift worth 500,000 VND and a banh chung cake to the lonely old lady Dinh Thanh Hanh, 85 years old, who sells goods in front of Thanh Xuan Department Store. The remaining cakes were given by the school to the children at the Vietnam Friendship Children's Village.

Mr. Dinh Thanh Hanh, 85 years old, has been making a living by selling goods on the street in Hanoi for 25 years.

He was very touched when Dai Nam students came to visit and give him gifts.
