On the morning of September 11, hundreds of students from Dai Nam University "set out" to join the Hanoi City Rapid Response Youth Volunteer Team, carrying out the task of supporting Dong Da district in vaccinating against Covid-19.

Faced with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, to proactively prevent and combat the pandemic, Hanoi is rapidly implementing vaccination work. The goal is that by September 15, 2021, 100% of people over 18 years old in Hanoi will be vaccinated against COVID-19 (first dose).

The determination of Dai Nam University volunteers.

Responding to the call of the Hanoi Youth Union, hundreds of students from Dai Nam University have volunteered to join the Youth Volunteer Team to respond quickly to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Team members take roll call, listen to work assignments and notes on performing tasks before departure.

Tran Van Quang, a student of the Information Technology Department, shared: “ On the front lines of the fight against the pandemic, doctors, soldiers, police officers, etc. are working hard day and night. As a young person, I see no reason to be discouraged by difficulties and not take action.”

When registering to participate in supporting epidemic prevention, the family and relatives of student Nguyen Thi Kim Anh - Faculty of Business Administration were very worried, afraid that their daughter would be in danger if she went out because the epidemic situation was very unpredictable.

However, Kim Anh reassured her family and volunteered with her friends to help fight the epidemic. “Instead of worrying, let’s join hands to act. I am very proud and happy to contribute my small part to the epidemic prevention work of Hanoi city. I hope the epidemic will soon be controlled so that life can return to normal…”

DNU volunteers eagerly set out on their mission.

As for student Le Duy Hai - Faculty of Nursing, the trip was a valuable opportunity for practical experience, and he has long wanted to participate and contribute.

“No lecture or practice session is as effective as real-life experience. This is truly a valuable opportunity and a long-time dream of Nursing students. Unfortunately, many of my classmates are in their hometowns and cannot participate…”

Dong Da District aims to vaccinate 86,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine for people aged 18 and over from September 9 to September 15.
