Dai Nam University cooperates with OMDO, continuing to bring paid internship opportunities from 6-12 months in Japan to students

With the aim of expanding the opportunity for students to experience and have paid internships for 6-12 months in Japan, Dai Nam University continues to sign a cooperation agreement with the Organization for Overseas Human Resource Development Cooperation in Japan (OMDO). Up to now, Dai Nam University has signed cooperation agreements with nearly 20 Japanese enterprises and organizations, 50% of 3rd year students (K14) of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture have participated in paid internship programs in Japan.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - Rector; leaders of the Department of Science Management and Development Cooperation; leaders, staff and lecturers of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture.

On OMDO's side, there were Mr. Nakajima Minoru - Director, Ms. Trieu Thi Hong - Director of Koishi Vietnam (OMDO's representative in Vietnam).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Hong expressed his joy at welcoming OMDO representatives and emphasized that cooperation between training units and businesses is an inevitable trend in the current high-quality human resource training activities.

“Dai Nam University is a multidisciplinary university, training in the direction of application, entrepreneurship and innovation. Therefore, the University in general, and the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture in particular, always identify: Teaching must be closely linked between theory and practice; Connecting, sharing information and finding opportunities for practice, internship, jobs, and scholarships for students are important activities to realize the goal of training students with good knowledge, solid skills, and the right attitude to enter the labor market that requires intelligence and high discipline in Japan...” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong shared.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Hong highly appreciated the effectiveness of the Intership programs that have been and are being implemented at the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture. “This is a great opportunity for students majoring in Japanese Language, Oriental Studies - Japanese Studies major to gain practical experience, improve knowledge, skills, attitudes, get acquainted and integrate into the working environment of Japanese enterprises...”

In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Hong also hopes to receive feedback from businesses on the quality of students participating in the Internship program in terms of Japanese language proficiency, skills, and attitudes so that the School and Faculty can further improve the training program.

Mr. Nakajima Minoru said: “With nearly 10 years of experience in supporting and connecting foreign students to Japan to participate in various internship programs. OMDO is always proud to be one of the most effective organizations in this field with more than 2,500 students from many countries such as Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, ... In Vietnam, OMDO is also a trusted partner of many major universities that train Japanese such as Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University, University of Foreign Languages (ULIS), ... Currently, we are also trying to exchange so that students participating in the internship program have better benefits, as well as build a mechanism to be able to receive students after internship to have the opportunity to be officially employed at the enterprise after graduation".

The MOU signing ceremony marks an important milestone in development, comprehensively supporting each other in the field of training and career development orientation for students majoring in Japanese Language and Oriental Studies - Japanese Studies of the school.

After the signing ceremony, the two sides had detailed and specific discussions on the plan to send students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture to participate in OMDO's paid internship programs.
