As one of 150 universities and colleges participating in the 2019 Admissions and Career Counseling Day, Dai Nam University attracts great attention from candidates and parents nationwide with prestigious majors and modern, multi-disciplinary, multi-level training programs.

From early morning, the Dai Nam University area was packed with candidates and parents coming to register for admission and career counseling.

On the morning of March 17, despite the cold and rainy weather, the yard of Hanoi University of Science and Technology was still packed with candidates and parents from many provinces and cities attending the 2019 Admissions and Career Counseling Day.

“ Many large universities have a rate of students dropping out after 1 year of university up to 30%, the main reason being choosing the wrong major and training environment. Many students finish 4-5 years of university and have to quit their major to find a new direction. Therefore, not only candidates but also parents must receive career counseling to be able to accompany their children on the learning journey ahead, ensuring the best future for their children… ”, Dr. Luong Cao Dong emphasized.

This year, the counseling and career guidance work of Dai Nam University is divided into 2 areas according to the 4 training blocks of the University including: Social Sciences - Humanities Block, Health Block, Engineering Block and Economics Block.

The Social Sciences - Humanities and Medicine block of Dai Nam University received great attention from candidates.

Accordingly, 12th grade students and their parents are not only advised on admission but also fully consulted and answered about information related to training programs, social studies majors in high demand, career fields that candidates are inclined to and have strengths in to best develop their own abilities, thereby making the most suitable choice for themselves.

In 2019, Dai Nam University will apply two admission methods: admission based on the results of the national high school graduation exam and consideration of grade 12 transcripts with a combination of scores of 3 subjects by block.

In 2019, Dai Nam University is expected to enroll students in majors based on 2 methods:

- Method 1: The school uses the results of the National High School Exam at the exam clusters chaired by Universities: Quality assurance threshold according to the 2019 University and College admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Method 2: Admission of high school graduates based on high school academic results with a quality assurance threshold: Total score of three subjects of grade 12 according to the admission block is from 18 points or higher; Pharmacy major is from 24 points, Nursing major is from 19.5 points.
