This year, Dai Nam University enrolls students nationwide using two admission methods: based on the results of the national high school exam and based on the results of grade 12 high school (according to the transcript).

In 2018, Dai Nam University will consider admission based on the results of the National High School Exam and academic records.

- Admission method 1: Admission of high school graduates based on the results of the national high school exam. The minimum admission score for all combinations in all majors is from 13 points ( Total of three subjects according to the admission combination, including priority points according to region and subject according to regulations ).
- Admission method 2: Admission of high school graduates based on high school academic results with the condition that the total score of three subjects according to the admission combination of grade 12 is 18.0 points or higher and grade 12 conduct is classified as Good or higher.
For some majors that are admitted based on a combination of subjects with an aptitude subject, the School uses the results of 02 subjects from the National High School Exam results at the exam clusters chaired by universities and the results of the aptitude subject (Fine Arts Drawing and Information Technology) organized by Dai Nam University and other universities for admission.
Candidates who are admitted based on the results of the National High School Exam and transcripts must submit the original 2018 High School Exam results, application for admission, high school transcripts (notarized copies), graduation certificate or temporary high school graduation certificate (notarized copies), and priority certificates (if any). Deadline for submitting the first round of admission confirmation documents:

With the admission method based on the results of the national high school exam: before 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2018.
With the admission method based on the results of grade 12 high school: before 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2018.

Responding to this issue, Dr. Luong Cao Dong, Principal of the school, said: “The huge investment of the school in recent times in facilities, training programs, training methods, teaching staff, etc. has received special attention from society and candidates, thereby the number of candidates registering for admission to majors of the school in 2018 increased more than 2 times compared to 2017. As expected, although this year's exam is considered quite difficult and the average score of candidates is relatively low, theadmission score to the school has not decreased much compared to 2017"
