Dai Nam University announces 07 new "extremely attractive" scholarship programs for new students of K18

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dai Nam University (school code DDN) has set aside a scholarship fund of 55 billion VND for new students of K18. The expanded scholarship policy with 07 new scholarship programs opens up many learning opportunities for new students, especially those with good academic performance and difficult family circumstances; contributing to creating motivation for learning, improving the quality of training high-quality human resources for society.
07 NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS IN 2024 OF DAI NAM UNIVERSITY
1. Talent Scholarship 50-100% tuition fee for the entire course (worth from 60.5 - 576 million VND, depending on tuition fee of each major)
New students admitted to DNU in 2024 with high achievements in Excellent Student (HSG) exams and talent competitions will receive Talent scholarships worth 50% and 100% of full-course tuition.
Specifically:
+ Won First, Second, Third, and Encouragement Prizes in National Excellent Student Competitions or National Science and Technology Competitions during high school and had the prize-winning subject included in the admission combination for the major the candidate registered for.
+ Won Gold, Silver, Bronze medals in international competitions during high school and had the winning subject included in the admission combination for the major that the candidate registered for.
+ Won First, Second, Third prizes in the Gifted Student Exam or Provincial/City Olympic Exam during high school and had the prize-winning subject included in the admission combination for the major the candidate registered for.
+ Won first, second, third prizes in provincial/municipal talent, culture, art, and sports competitions or higher during high school and had the prize-winning subject included in the admission combination for the major the candidate registered for.
Applicable regulations: Talent Scholarship is applied in the first year, maintained in the following years if the student achieves a training score of 80 or higher; average academic score from 7.5/10 to 8.0/10 or higher depending on the scholarship level received.
2. Incentive Scholarship 100% tuition fee for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025 (worth from 11 - 32 million VND, depending on tuition fee of each major)
Subjects: New students entering Dai Nam University in 2024 through direct admission and former students of specialized/gifted/key schools nationwide.
Applicable regulations: The Encouragement Scholarship is applied in the first academic year and maintained in the following academic years if the student achieves an average academic score of 8.0/10 and a training assessment score of 80 or higher.

3. Education - Health Scholarship from 10 - 30 million VND
DNU implements a policy of granting 15% full-course tuition scholarships to children and siblings of cadres, teachers and employees working at the Department of Education and Training and high schools nationwide who are admitted to study at Dai Nam University (except Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing).
For children and siblings of officers and employees working at Departments of Health/Ministry of Health/Hospitals nationwide who are admitted to Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, they will receive scholarships worth 30 million (Medicine); 20 million (Pharmacy); 10 million (Nursing), respectively.
Applicable regulations: The scholarship is applied in the first academic year and maintained in the following academic years if the student achieves an average academic score of 7.5/10 and an assessment score of 80 or higher.
4. Scholarships covering 20-30% of tuition fees for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025
New students with especially difficult circumstances who meet one of the following criteria have the opportunity to receive a 20% or 30% tuition scholarship for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
+ Orphaned, poor/near-poor household according to Decree 07/2021/ND-CP.
+ Severely disabled with a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority according to Decree 28/2012/ND-CP.
+ Ethnic minorities according to Decision 1227/QD-TTg dated July 14, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the list of ethnic groups facing many difficulties, with specific difficulties in the period 2021 - 2025, belonging to near-poor households according to Decree 07/2021/ND-CP.
+ Ethnic minorities have very few people according to Decree 57/2021/ND-CP, and are poor households according to Decree 07/2021/ND-CP.
Applicable regulations: The scholarship is applied in the first academic year and maintained in the following academic years if the student achieves an average academic score of 7.0/10 and a training assessment score of 80 or higher.
5. Talent Encouragement Scholarship from 50 - 100% tuition fee for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025
New students admitted by all admission methods on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission software will be considered for scholarships when their total score of 03 high school graduation exam subjects according to the school's admission combination (excluding regional and subject priority points) achieves high results. Specifically:

6. “Dai Nam People” scholarship from 10-30% of the entire course tuition fee (worth from 12.1 - 172.8 million VND, depending on the tuition fee of each major)
New students whose siblings or parents have studied or worked at Dai Nam University or who are spouses of lecturers, staff, or employees working at DNU will receive the "Dai Nam People" scholarship (family scholarship) worth 10-30% of the entire course tuition fee.
Applicable regulations: Students are only entitled to preferential tuition for the main semesters according to the training time of the program. Not applicable for audit and advanced semesters (if any).
7. "Proud of Ha Dong" scholarship 10% tuition fee for semester 1, school year 2024-2025
New full-time students of the 2024 course with permanent residence in Ha Dong district, Hanoi or graduating from high schools in Ha Dong district will receive a scholarship worth 10% of tuition fees for semester 1 of the 2024-2025 school year.
Applicable regulations: Scholarship is granted once and applied in the first academic year.
Note: Each new student of K18 will only receive one highest scholarship upon entering the school, and scholarship levels cannot be combined.
In addition to the 07 scholarship programs, DNU students also receive other valuable scholarships, such as: Annual scholarships, corporate scholarships, full scholarships to study abroad in Taiwan for students majoring in Information Technology, Semiconductor Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Economics, Architecture, etc.
