Dai Nam University - A year in review!

2023 is a year of many milestones for Dai Nam University (DNU) in accordance with the motto of action "Change to break through". The school has achieved many outstanding achievements in all areas: Admissions, training, human resources, facilities, scientific research, development cooperation, community social activities...

1. Enrollment meets requirements on quota and quality

At the end of the 2023 enrollment season, Dai Nam University is pleased to welcome 5,300 new students of K17.

2. A building is built every year.

In early 2023, the Central Building - the workplace of more than 1,000 DNU staff, lecturers and employees - will be put into use.

In July 2024, the Startup Center Building, a place for practice, research, business incubation and startups of DNU students, will be officially accepted and put into use.

The 15-storey student hotel has started construction, and is planned to be put into use for boarding students in March 2025.

3. Starting training in a shorter time from K17, Dai Nam students study 3 semesters/year, graduating 0.5 - 1 year early depending on the specific major.

Implementing a shortened training program not only helps Dai Nam University approach international standards in organizing undergraduate and postgraduate training, but also helps students benefit in all aspects: Time - Finance - Job opportunities - Opportunities to study to improve qualifications...

4. Add 04 training programs to receive accreditation certification outside of educational quality

This is an important premise for the School to continue improving training quality, having breakthrough solutions towards the goal of certifying educational quality assurance in the region and internationally.

5. Complete external quality assessment of 04 regular university training programs

Dai Nam University continues to complete the external assessment of the quality of regular undergraduate training programs in 04 majors: Information Technology; Finance - Banking; Public Relations; Chinese Language. Currently, the University is continuing to conduct external assessment and assessment of other training programs as planned.

6. Welcoming more than 200 new staff who are professors, doctors, and masters of working age from other educational institutions to Dai Nam University

In the 2023-2024 school year, Dai Nam University recruited, trained and appointed hundreds of new personnel positions, bringing the total number of staff of the University to more than 1,000 people, many teachers are key and senior leaders from major public universities joining DNU.

7. Open 12 new majors to serve social needs

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dai Nam University will enroll students in 12 new majors in the regular university system, including: Economics; Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology; Biotechnology; Information Systems; Graphic Design; Semiconductor Chip Technology; Financial Technology; Construction Economics; Business Data Analysis; Human Resource Management; Law; Psychology.

8. The largest international Fintech conference ever

At the international scientific conference “Improving the Fintech development ecosystem in Vietnam”, Dai Nam University has “scored absolute points” with domestic and international scientists thanks to its spacious facilities; methodical reception process; tight program structure; quality presentations, with many contributions to the development of Fintech in Vietnam.

9. National Conference on Japanese Language Teaching Methods in the 4.0 Era brings together prestigious domestic and Japanese experts

The National Scientific Conference “Innovation in Japanese Language and Japanese Studies Teaching Methods in the Digital Age” connected many prestigious domestic and Japanese research experts, bringing more than 30 practical scientific articles, which are an important reference to improve the quality of Japanese language and Japanese studies teaching in the era of Industry 4.0.

10. Hundreds of large enterprises "join hands" with Dai Nam University to train students

Hundreds of large domestic and international enterprises and professional organizations continue to become strategic partners of Dai Nam University, increasingly consolidating the lecture hall-enterprise training model.

11. Expanding international cooperation map in the US, Korea, Taiwan markets...

The school has been cooperating with many large international universities and academies to implement joint training programs and develop high-quality human resources such as: University of Minnesota (USA), Walsh University (USA), University of Kentucky (USA), Asia University (Taiwan), Yonam LG Institute of Technology (Korea), Baekseok University (Korea), Poland - Japan Information Technology Institute, etc.

12. Dai Nam University Student Job Fair 2023 was a success beyond expectations, hundreds of businesses "welcomed" students right in the lecture hall

The 2023 Student Job Fair - "My Job, My Career" is organized by the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Center in collaboration with nearly 100 large enterprises. Dai Nam students are recruited directly by enterprises at school, and can proactively choose the job positions that best suit their abilities, strengths, and training majors.

13. Awarding scholarships to new students of K17

At the end of the 2023 enrollment season, Dai Nam University has selected outstanding candidates to award the Talent Encouragement Scholarship, including the following levels: 100%, 50%, 30% tuition scholarship for semester I, school year 2023 - 2024.

14. Dai Nam University implements the DNU Cultural Development Project

By implementing the Cultural Development Project, DNU deepens corporate culture towards the goal of breakthrough and sustainable development.

15. 13 years of tirelessly bringing Tet to the disadvantaged, honoring and preserving traditional cultural values

The "Banh Chung Nghia Tinh" program has entered its 13th year but is still highly anticipated and has a profound influence on the community. By 2024, the program had mobilized 18,000 teachers and students to participate; raised more than 3 billion VND; and donated nearly 30,000 green banh chung to the less fortunate in society. With the activity "Returning to the old Tet", Dai Nam University affirmed: "Culture is the soul of the nation, as long as culture exists, the nation exists".

16. Traditional camp "Keeping the homeland green forever" Dai Nam takes over prime time on VTV

Using 100% recycled waste to recreate 20 regional cultural landmarks and designing unique and impressive recycled fashion collections is how Dai Nam teachers and students convey the message of environmental protection in the 2023 Traditional Camping Festival program, occupying VTV's prime time.

17. Opening Ceremony and the biggest music festival to welcome new students in the North

With a stage scale of 400m2; 15,000 staff, lecturers, students, alumni attending; more than 500 people participating in art performances; the appearance of 04 famous artists, nearly 100,000 livestream views on the Dai Nam University fanpage, the "Opening Ceremony of the 2023 - 2024 school year and the Grand Concert to Welcome New Students K17" has become the largest program in the history of Dai Nam University.

18. Solemnly held the 16th anniversary celebration of the school's founding and welcomed November 20th

The ceremony to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the school's founding (November 17, 2007 - November 17, 2023) and "Welcome the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day" of Dai Nam University was organized elaborately, methodically, "measured" closely from seating positions to each film, art performance, gratitude gifts... to bring nearly 1,000 staff and lecturers from one surprise to another and burst into joy and happiness.

19. Dai Nam University Book Festival 2023 attracts thousands of staff, lecturers and students

With the message "each book is a window to the world" and a series of diverse and meaningful experiential activities, Dai Nam University Book Festival 2023 was unexpectedly successful, attracting thousands of staff, lecturers and students.

20. Host the Book and Action Gala, gathering book lovers from more than 100 high schools nationwide

By hosting the 2023 Book and Action Gala, Dai Nam University has become a space connecting students from more than 100 high schools, universities and academies nationwide.

21. For the first time in history, a university has sponsored Vietnamese sports to participate in an international tournament.

As the main sponsor, Dai Nam University has accompanied the National female volleyball players to establish the first miracle of Vietnamese women's volleyball - becoming the champion of the 2023 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship.

22. Dai Nam University students won the 2nd prize of National Futsal VUG 2023

A sweet and emotional journey of Dai Nam University ended with the runner-up position of VUG Futsal Championship 2023. The Chairman of the University Council and the Board of Directors promptly, closely, and directly met with the Futsal Team to commend the Team's historic achievement at the 2023 National Student Sports Tournament (VUG 9).

The school's leadership congratulated and awarded the DNU Futsal team after their historic achievement.

23. Snow covered the "peak" Christmas Gala of teachers and students of Dai Nam University

The sparkling, brilliant space, the white lines falling densely across the school yard, the unique art performances, the 'peak' performance of the TOP 10 "King and Queen", lucky gifts with Santa Claus,... of the Christmas Gala Night 2023 brought explosive emotions, taking DNU teachers and students from one surprise to another.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dai Nam University will continue to develop rapidly and sustainably; ensuring that 100% of graduates will have jobs with good incomes.
