Faced with a severe blood shortage due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic; responding to the call for blood donation from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion; towards "World Blood Donor Day June 14, 2021"; promoting the tradition of donating blood to save lives over the years of teachers and students, on June 12, Dai Nam University coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to plan to call on all qualified staff, lecturers, employees, and students to participate in voluntary blood donation during the epidemic season.

Many teachers and students of Dai Nam University participated in safe blood donation during the epidemic season.

The fourth outbreak of Covid-19 has made voluntary blood donation in the community and at agencies and organizations impossible, causing blood banks to become increasingly depleted. The risk of blood shortages for patients is occurring in many places across the country and is especially serious in the Northern region.

Strictly comply with the regulations on disease prevention of the Ministry of Health.

Promoting the tradition of “Donating blood is giving life”, “Giving blood saves life”, despite the epidemic season, with the voluntary participation of many teachers and students, the School Board decided to coordinate with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to set up a safe “shield” to donate blood to save lives. The event attracted hundreds of staff, lecturers and students to register to participate.

Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University shared: “Although students are on break due to the epidemic, the school still decided to call for and organize voluntary blood donation. The goal of the program is to join hands with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to solve the current urgent blood shortage. Volunteers when donating blood must strictly comply with regulations on epidemic prevention, such as: body temperature check, medical declaration, wearing masks, disinfecting, ensuring distance…”

Dai Nam teachers and students have contributed hundreds of units of qualified blood to the national blood bank.

At the end of the blood donation session, teachers and students of Dai Nam University contributed hundreds of units of quality blood to the National Blood Bank, contributing to solving the serious blood shortage during the epidemic season.

In the coming time, when the epidemic is under control and students and trainees return to school, the Youth Union of Dai Nam University will continue to organize the Dai Nam Blood Drop program on a school-wide scale so that many teachers and students can donate blood to save lives.
