Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Pham Van Nguyen - Vice Principal, Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University said: “Linking training with business reality, learning to practice is always the “compass” in the training activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy in particular and Dai Nam University in general. Therefore, in parallel with teaching, scientific research, practice, and internship activities, the Faculty always focuses on cooperation activities to connect businesses and early career guidance for students…”

Dr. Pham Van Nguyen shared with the conference about the need for Pharmacy students to receive career guidance right at school.
According to Dr. Pham Van Nguyen, Pharmacy is a special profession. In order to meet the recruitment requirements of businesses and stay in the profession for a long time, Pharmacy graduates must not only be good at professional knowledge, proficient in practical skills, working skills, but also good at foreign languages, information technology and soft skills. In particular, Pharmacy students need to have a correct understanding of career trends and the fields of work they can do after graduation to grasp the most suitable and best career opportunities for themselves.

Mr. Vu Hoai Nam - CEO of Pharmalink shares career orientation for students
after graduation
“Professional knowledge, understanding of industry trends and practical work areas of the pharmaceutical industry, interview skills, CV writing skills… are mandatory conditions for a new university pharmacist to have in order to impress employers,” emphasized Dr. Pham Van Nguyen.
Sharing about the job market in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Vu Hoai Nam said: “The job market in the pharmaceutical industry is very large. After graduating, pharmacy students can work in many different positions, such as: hospitals, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacist training facilities, medical equipment companies, pharmaceutical brands... with attractive remuneration.”
However, Mr. Vu Hoai Nam also pointed out the reality that due to the lack of practical skills, the rate of graduates meeting the recruitment requirements of businesses is still limited, and businesses have to spend time retraining them.
“To meet the recruitment needs of businesses, businesses do not have to retrain students, pharmacist training institutions need to continuously review and change training programs. Specifically, shift to training according to the needs of businesses, regularly organize career counseling and job placement activities for students to participate and experience... Reality shows that the earlier and more students experience and rub shoulders, the faster they mature...", said Mr. Vu Hoai Nam.
