“Dai Nam Gene” in the Blood: Mother Studied Pharmacy, Twin Sons Chose Medicine

There are invisible threads that connect people together, sometimes not only by blood, but also by faith and love for knowledge. For Ms. Deo Thi Thom’s family, that thread is called Dai Nam University.

The journey from a mother studying Pharmacy to two daughters choosing Medicine

Many years ago, Ms. Thom was a Pharmacy student at Dai Nam University. During her hard days in the laboratory, she was passionate about each formulation, carrying within her the dream of healing and serving humanity.

As time passed, that dream continued in a very special way: the twin daughters - Yen Nhi and Thao Nhi together placed their first choice in the Faculty of Medicine at Dai Nam University. They did not just choose a school, but also chose the faith, love and journey that their mother had started.

"I believe my child will find at Dai Nam University what I once had: knowledge, dedication and love for the profession," Ms. Thom emotionally shared.

Perhaps thanks to the "fate" of 2 generations with Dai Nam, Yen Nhi was lucky to be the owner of 1 of 3 SHs - the lucky draw prize in the K19 Welcome New Music Festival

For Yen Nhi and Thao Nhi, Dai Nam University is not only a place to study, but also the place to start the journey to become doctors - people with hearts that know how to heal.
Each lecture, each first practice hour in the white blouse are small steps on the long road that my mother has traveled - the road of knowledge, humanity and passion.

It is not just a matter of career inheritance, but also a belief passed down through generations - belief in the value of education, medical ethics and the desire to contribute to life.

Looking back at the journey of the mother and her two children, one can easily see one thing in common - dedication, passion and desire to heal.
Perhaps in that small family, the “Dai Nam gene” already flows in the blood: from the mother who graduated from Pharmacy, to the twin daughters studying Medicine - all share the same belief: believe in knowledge, live with compassion and learn with all their heart.
