Admission based on academic records: Benefits for candidates in all aspects

Many candidates and parents submit their high school transcripts for admission to Dai Nam University.
When the time for adjusting wishes (NV) officially closes, it is also the time for candidates to be determined to seize the opportunity to be admitted to university by registering for high school transcript consideration. With this admission method, candidates can completely realize their dream of being admitted to the universities they want based on their actual academic results.

At prestigious universities that apply the high school transcript admission method, these days, many candidates and parents come to submit their application documents, receive admission notices and complete admission procedures.

Sharing with us, candidate Le Minh Phuong came to submit his application for admission based on high school transcripts at Dai Nam University and said: “With the admission based on high school transcripts, we can be more flexible in choosing the major and school we want…”

In 2019, the admission score based on high school transcripts at Dai Nam University ranges from 18-24 points depending on the training major.
In fact, the high school transcript admission method has many advantages such as simple application and admission procedures; stable admission scores; short waiting time; high chance of admission...

At Dai Nam University, the admission score based on transcripts ranges from 18-24 points depending on the training major (for Pharmacy, candidates need to be excellent students in grade 12); the application includes an application form (according to Dai Nam University's form), high school transcripts (notarized copies), graduation certificate or temporary high school graduation certificate (notarized copies), priority certificates (if any), 02 stamped envelopes with the recipient's address clearly written. Dai Nam University accepts admission applications based on transcripts until August 10. Accordingly, candidates who submit complete applications and are admitted in the first round can enroll from the beginning of August , before knowing the results of the National High School Exam (expected before August 9, 2019).

Considering high school transcripts, rest assured to be admitted to HOT majors

Majors such as Pharmacy, Nursing, Tourism, English, Chinese, Business Administration... of Dai Nam University are attracting a lot of candidates.

The survey shows that the university floor score this year is not much different, only increasing by about 0.5 - 1 point compared to 2018. However, in some schools, especially for HOT majors such as: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Tourism, Public Relations and Communications, Information Technology, English Language, Chinese Language, Japanese Language... the floor score and standard score fluctuate very unpredictably.

Besides, in 2019, the number of candidates with scores of 17-20 is very large, so candidates have to compete fiercely to be admitted to the major and school they want.
Faced with competition and "unpredictable" benchmark scores, many candidates choose to consider high school transcripts to increase their chances of being admitted to university.

Registering for admission based on high school transcripts to the Pharmacy major at Dai Nam University, candidate Nguyen Hai Minh (Dong Anh, Hanoi) said: “Although I have registered for NV, I am not very confident because the benchmark for Pharmacy is always high. Therefore, I want to consider high school transcripts to feel more secure…”

Up to now, the rate of applications for admission to Dai Nam University has doubled compared to 2018.

In 2019, apart from the Health and Pedagogy sectors, which have their own input quality assurance thresholds set by the Ministry of Education and Training, all other sectors have their own floor scores set by universities. In reality, in many universities, the floor score is not necessarily the minimum quality assurance score, but also depends on the number of candidates and the number of candidates applying for admission to the same sector. And candidates who have just reached the floor score or have a small difference, or even a little lower than the floor score, do not mean that the candidate is not qualified to study at university, especially with the current form of multiple-choice exams.

Statistics show that more than 90% of Dai Nam graduates have jobs in their majors and are highly appreciated by businesses.

Admission based on academic records is considered the optimal solution for candidates with scores close to the floor. Academic records are proof of the effort in studying throughout the school year and candidates deserve the opportunity to enter university through their own efforts.
