Connecting theory with practice – Journey to explore the largest warehouse in the North by Logistics students of Dai Nam University

In order to help students approach the reality of logistics and modern warehouse operations, the Faculty of Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Dai Nam University organized a field trip to AJ Total Vietnam Company (Hung Yen) and SLS Yen My Logistics Center - GLC CJ Logistics. The trip not only provided practical experiences but also helped students expand their understanding of warehouse management processes, technology applications and challenges in the logistics industry.

Experience large-scale cold storage system – AJ Total Vietnam

The first destination is AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage, one of the largest and most modern cold storage systems in the North, specializing in providing solutions for preserving food, pharmaceuticals and temperature-sensitive goods.

Here, students get:

- Practical experience with different types of warehouses with temperatures ranging from cool storage (0°C – 5°C) to deep cold storage (-45°C).

- Learn about the process of preserving goods, including food, pharmaceuticals and perishable products.

- Observe the smart warehouse management system, applying automation technology in temperature control.

- Access to modern equipment such as shelving systems, specialized forklifts and deep refrigeration technology.

- Listen to experts share about cold storage safety standards and methods to optimize operations.

This hands-on experience helps students better understand the importance of cold chain and technological solutions in preserving goods.

Explore the smart warehouse system at GLC CJ Logistics

Continuing the journey, students moved to SLS Yen My Logistics Center - GLC CJ Logistics, one of the most modern logistics centers in the region.

Here, students get:

- Observe the smart warehouse operation process, from receiving, storing to exporting.

- Learn about modern technology applications such as IoT and ERP systems in inventory management and temperature monitoring.

- Practice evaluating warehouse performance, identifying factors to optimize storage space and improve operational efficiency.

- Interact with experts to better understand the challenges, opportunities and career requirements in the logistics industry.

These practical lessons help students have a more comprehensive view of the field they are pursuing, and at the same time have a clearer orientation on the skills and knowledge they need to equip themselves with to succeed in the future.
