Comprehensive cooperation between Dai Nam University and Vietnam Private Hospital Association

With the signed cooperation agreements, students of the health sector (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing) of Dai Nam University will have access to practical activities, practice professional skills when experiencing and interning at private hospitals belonging to the association, accumulate practical experience, and arouse the spirit of "self-employment" according to the model of "University of Applications - Entrepreneurship and Innovation" that the University is focusing all resources to develop.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnam Private Hospital Association, there were Professor Nguyen Van De - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Private Hospital Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hop Luc Joint Stock Corporation; Leaders of the Vietnam Private Hospital Association.

On behalf of Dai Nam University, there were representatives of the Board of Directors; leaders of the Departments, Offices, Institutes and Centers of the school.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van De highly appreciated the training quality of the Health sector of Dai Nam University, including the following majors: Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy. Mr. Nguyen Van De believes that the cooperation between Dai Nam University and the Vietnam Private Hospital Association will open up many development opportunities for both sides.

“The Association has the conditions to develop and find high-quality resources. The school has the foundation to improve the quality of education, train a team of Doctors, Pharmacists, and Nurses with good expertise, solid skills, and good medical ethics for the country,” Mr. Nguyen Van De affirmed.

Accordingly, the undergraduate training program in Pharmacy has passed the quality assessment of the Ministry of Education and Training. 50% of students in the Health sector have jobs and stable incomes while still in school through the connection between the school and businesses. 100% of graduates have jobs in their majors within the first year.

In particular, the brand of Dai Nam University's Health sector has been reaching international standards with more than 200 Indian students coming to study Medicine in August 2023.

“Cooperation with the Vietnam Private Hospital Association is the basis for Dai Nam University to continue ensuring the quality of output for students in the Health sector. The school can confidently train, and students can confidently study and practice,” Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong shared.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong represented the school to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Private Hospital Association.

Important contents in comprehensive cooperation between the two sides

1. The two sides commit to comprehensive cooperation in all professional fields in accordance with the functions, tasks, capabilities and needs of the two sides.

The signing ceremony will open up many opportunities for both sides.

2. In the initial phase, the two sides will focus on cooperation to implement the following main contents:

• Implement cooperation in training programs, professional development for officers, employees and related partners.
• Coordinate the organization of seminars, conferences, and business forums to update information, share professional experience, knowledge, and professional skills for businesses, entrepreneurs, and learners.
• Coordinate the organization of the "Start-up" program, the program of transferring experience and effective working methods in enterprises,... to create conditions for students of Dai Nam University to access practical activities, practice skills, accumulate experience, contributing to arousing the spirit of "self-employment".
• Coordinate investigation and survey of the current situation of recruitment needs and requirements of enterprises to contribute to improving the quality of human resource training of Dai Nam University, aiming at the goal of training to meet social needs.
• The Vietnam Private Hospital Association will act as a bridge, creating all conditions to support and connect Dai Nam University with the business community; introduce quality students to member organizations and businesses that need to recruit human resources; introduce students to visit, practice, gain professional experience, and intern at organizations and businesses when needed.

How to become a student of Health Department at Dai Nam University in 2023

In the 2023-2024 school year, Dai Nam University enrolls full-time undergraduate students in General Medicine (code: 7720101), Pharmacy (code: 7720201), Nursing (code: 7720301) according to 4 admission methods.

Specifically:

Method 1: Use the results of 03 subjects from the high school graduation exam results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

Candidates whose exam results meet the quality assurance threshold prescribed by the School after receiving the 2023 high school graduation exam results, except for the Health Sector, as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2: Use the transcript results, scores of 3 subjects from the 12th grade high school study results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

• Medicine and Pharmacy majors must have a grade 12 academic record of Excellent or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of ≥ 24 points.
• Nursing major must have a grade 12 academic record of Good or higher or a high school graduation score of 6.5 or higher and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of ≥ 19.5 points.
• For other majors: total score of 3 subjects according to admission combination ≥ 18 points. Method 3: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the School.
