Collaboration with Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT): An important premise for the development of young global engineers

Educational internationalization and training students to become global citizens is the development orientation of Dai Nam University (DNU). To promote that strategy, the Board of Directors pay special attention to expanding cooperation relationships with international businesses, research institutes, universities and academies. Following the previous joint training activities, DNU continued to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in training cooperation with the Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT).
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son – the Chairman of the Board, the Board of Directors along with the Heads of Departments and Faculties at DNU.
On the partner side, there were Dr. Jerzy Paweł Nowacki - the President, Dr. Aldona Drabik - Vice President, and Prof. Nguyen Huu Viem.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son shared that he spent over 10 years living, studying, and working in Poland. He highly appreciated the development of Polish education and desired to connect and implement training cooperation programs with prestigious universities and institutes in Poland to gradually internationalize the spearhead training programs of DNU, contributing to generations of global students.
"Information technology, computer sciences, and Japanese studies are some of the majors that Dai Nam University especially focuses on. The cooperation between Dai Nam University and Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology will certainly open up new directions for students in these majors, which lays a solid foundation for a generation of dynamic, enthusiastic, professional engineers as well as well-qualified graduates to integrate globally", said Dr. Le Dac Son.

According to the MoU, a cooperative relationship was established between two sides to comprehensively support the development of training programs in IT, Computer Science, Japanese studies; together with scientific research, scientific seminars, career orientation, lecturers and students exchange, creating favorable conditions for students and lecturers of DNU to be exposed to advances in science and technology.

Dr. Jerzy Paweł Nowacki stated that: “The Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology carefully prepared the Training programs for foreign students. We committed to supporting lecturers and students of Dai Nam University to the fullest to study, practice and improve their professional qualifications. International joint training is in the trend of educational development so I do believe that the Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology and Dai Nam University will develop and enhance the quality when collaborating”.

For the purpose of effectively implementing educational internationalization, in recent years, DNU has signed training cooperation agreements with many international universities and institutes, such as: University of Minnesota (USA), Foreign Trade Academy of Nigeria, Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology, etc. DNU will continue to expand training cooperation to improve training quality, offering learning opportunities and better self-development to students, which contribute to promoting Dai Nam’s position in domestic and international education rankings.

Polish - Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT) was established in 1994 based on the bilateral friendship between Poland and Japan. The Academy is highly appreciated, attracting numerous international students and researchers from Asian countries to study, research and work. It is also regarded as the most targeted destination for employers, multinational companies, etc...
Training programs at the Academy are in English or in Polish due to the high number of foreign students, around 20%.
