Co-organizing an international conference, the goal of "stimulating demand" for scientific research activities of DNU

Clearly defining the goals and importance of scientific research (NCKH) for the teaching and research work of the teaching staff; over the years, Dai Nam University has always strived to develop scientific research work, organize and participate in many conferences at the school, national and international levels... The recent co-organization of the 3rd International Conference on Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence - Computing4Human with the International School - VNU aims to promote the internationalization of education of Dai Nam University; improve scientific research capacity, motivate lecturers to improve their foreign language proficiency through writing papers. Accordingly, Dai Nam University participated in 03 topics with a total of 06 papers.

The workshop was attended by more than 80 delegates, in person and online, from Korea, Australia, and Vietnam.

Scientific research, international conferences - important solutions to improve training quality

The conference is a forum for leading scientists, researchers and scholars to discuss and share the latest research results on all aspects of artificial intelligence applied in all aspects of human life. This is also an opportunity to enhance scientific exchanges, promote research cooperation between Vietnamese and international scientists, create a forum for scholars and experts to present research results and discuss the current status, challenges and prospects in the field of artificial intelligence.

Attending the workshop, Dai Nam University had: Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thi Lien - Vice Principal; MSc., PhD. Duong Minh Tu - Head of Human Resources Department; Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc - Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Department; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Deputy Head of Business Administration Department; MSc., PhD. Pham Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Head of Science Management and International Cooperation Department; and lecturers from the Faculties.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thi Lien shared: “The school’s lecturers actively participating in scientific research activities and international conferences is one of the important and necessary solutions to improve the quality of training, better meeting the increasingly demanding needs of society. To “stimulate demand” for this activity, the school always encourages and creates favorable conditions for lecturers to conduct research and scientific reports at large and small-scale conferences…”

06 papers published in the conference proceedings, indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thi Lien and other authors have two research papers on "How patterns of lifestyle via immersive AR-based practices engender buying behavior: the role of attitude to the brand" and "Factors Influencing University Students' Continuance Intention of Mobile English learning applications".

Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc brought to the Workshop 02 presentations: “Studying the Impact of last Mile Delivery on E-commerce Customer Satisfaction” and “Analyzing the Willingness to Apply Green Logistics in Vietnam Logistics Enterprises”.

Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc presented the topic "Research on the impact of last mile delivery on e-commerce customer satisfaction".

In her presentation, Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc focused on clarifying the relationship between factors in last-mile delivery and customer satisfaction. The research results showed that three factors of last-mile delivery such as delivery time, delivery information and customer experience have a direct and positive impact on e-commerce customer satisfaction.

With the second presentation, Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc clarified the readiness level of Green Logistics application in Vietnamese logistics enterprises.

MSc., PhD. Duong Minh Tu conducted a paper entitled “Factors Affecting the Organizational Commitment of Generation Y Employees in Hanoi, Vietnam”. This is an urgent issue because Generation Y is the main labor force of today's society.

Based on the analysis of 242 survey samples, the paper measures the level of influence of 06 factors affecting the commitment of Generation Y employees, including: Job satisfaction, working conditions, work-life balance, relationship between managers and employees, career development opportunities, salary and benefits.

Accordingly, satisfaction has the greatest impact; salary, bonus and benefits have the smallest impact. From this result, the paper has proposed some implications to enhance the commitment of Generation Y employees in Hanoi in the coming time.

MSc. Dao Minh Hien - lecturer of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology with the presentation report "Application of Synthetic Data on Object Detection Task" brought novelty and high applicability, receiving deep attention from scientists attending the conference.

04 reports at the Workshop will be published in the workshop proceedings, in the CEUR Workshop Proceeding collection indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar (important databases in providing the most reliable scientific articles).

The Computing4Human International Conference has opened up opportunities for useful academic exchanges and interactions between Dai Nam University lecturers and scientists, domestic and international researchers, learning and acquiring new knowledge and skills. Thereby improving professional qualifications and skills for work; contributing to affirming the quality of training programs in general and scientific research activities in particular of Dai Nam University to the community and society.
