Citizenship Week – Students Course 9, School Year 2015 – 2016

Starting from September 15-18, 2015, Dai Nam University organized a "week of citizen-student activities", welcoming nearly 1,000 new students of the 9th course to join the "common home" of Dai Nam University.

As usual, after the candidates are admitted to the school and become new students of the school, they will participate in the "Citizen - Student Activity Week" to initially get acquainted with the teachers and the university learning environment. The Citizen - Student Activity Week is an annual activity before the new school year. This activity aims to help new students understand the school they are studying at, know about the rights and obligations of citizen students; understand the school's training program and methods to have a suitable study plan for themselves.

During the first two days of the Citizenship Week, September 15 and 16, the new students of Course 9 attended the first political lesson of the year at Phu Lam Hall, Dai Nam University.

The first political study of the year is the time for new students of the 9th course to meet with teachers in the School's Board of Directors such as Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the School... and listen to important contents such as: Overview of the history of the establishment and development of the school; Credit-based training program, regulations - rules for students, boarding - boarding regulations and regulations on tuition policies, scholarships as well as plans for the work of the Union and Clubs in the school year 2015 - 2016... Issues on sovereignty over islands, security and order, and social safety were also disseminated by Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hung - Captain of the PA83 Education Security Team, Hanoi City Police, to help each individual student understand, study and practice according to the law, and at the same time be aware of vigilance to keep themselves safe.

Attending the first political activities of the year with new students, Dr. Le Dac Son shared his heartfelt words and advice from the heart of a teacher for the students. He hopes that the students will make efforts right from the beginning of the new school year, improve their self-study spirit, and find their own learning method that is suitable for university study. He shared: " With the goal of having 20,000 students studying at Dai Nam University by 2020, Dai Nam will train generations of students to become people who are good at their profession, good at English, and have enough life skills so that they can be confident, have stable jobs after graduation, and contribute quality human resources to society."

Dr. Le Dac Son commended and rewarded three new students who were valedictorians of the three groups A, C, D1 with prizes worth 5 million VND each.

1. Hoang Thi Kim Dung, class TA 09-01, with a score of 20.75, valedictorian of block D1;

2. Truong Thi Thuy, Pharmacy class 09-02, 24.25 points, valedictorian of block A;

3. Ha Thi Phuong, Law class 09-02, 24.5 points, top student in block C

This award is a gift that the school wants to give to the students, to encourage their learning spirit, hoping that they will always try their best, become talented students of Dai Nam University, continuing the learning tradition of their seniors.

The teacher commended and rewarded three new students who were valedictorians.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hung, head of the education security team, PA83 - Hanoi City Police, disseminated information on issues of social order, security, and sovereignty over seas and islands.

On the first day of the civic week, the new students of the 9th course had an overview of Dai Nam University - the school that will nurture their dreams for 4 years. Without restricting students to a model of studying politics at the beginning of the year, Dai Nam University helped students receive information about the school, training programs... in the most comfortable and memorable way through the sharing of teachers.
