"Citizenship Week" for new students of K17, Faculty of E-commerce & Digital Economy

In the joyful atmosphere of new students welcoming a new journey in the university lecture hall, on the afternoon of September 23, 2023, the Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology organized the "Welcome New Students" and "Citizenship Week" program for new students of the 17th course.
The program was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal of the School; Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Duc Thao - Head of the Faculty of E-commerce and Technology; representatives of leaders of Faculties and functional departments; representatives of partner units; staff, lecturers and all new students of course 17.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal of the University congratulated all new students of the 17th course who passed the 2023 entrance exam and officially entered the first classes at Dai Nam University. He emphasized: "The Citizenship Week plays an important role, helping new students have orientation and accurate information about the activities of the University, about the learning environment, training, and striving throughout the learning process. I hope that students will seriously study, train, and help each other to achieve the highest learning results during their years of study at the University" .

On the Faculty side, Associate Professor Dr. Truong Duc Thao - Head of the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy also shared with the new students about the mission, tradition, development goals, and practical training motto of the Faculty. He emphasized the position and importance of the E-commerce and Digital Economy majors. "Digital economy is the major of the future. Digital economy will gradually replace traditional economy. E-commerce will be the main pillar of digital economy development" .

Attending the program, Mr. Tran Van Trong, General Secretary of Vietnam E-commerce Association also shared about career prospects, development opportunities of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Mr. Dang Hiep - Representative of Kcavina shared about the training program and evaluation of students of the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Mr. Nguyen Quan - CEO of Eco Academy also shared about the future of e-commerce in Vietnam.
Speaking at the program, representatives of businesses highly appreciated the practical training program of the school in general and the Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology in particular, and committed to accompany the faculty in training students.
In the series of student civic activities, new students are introduced to important contents related to the training program, learning issues, scholarship policies, student support policies, etc. At the same time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Chi also shared with them about safe and secure living skills for students when living away from home, avoiding temptations in big cities. These are valuable experiences for new students to improve their self-resistance, adapt to the learning environment and new experiences.

The program is also an opportunity for new students to interact with students from K15 and K16. They shared inspirational stories to help new students gain insight into learning methods, requirements, and necessary skills for the profession.
