From September 11 to September 16, 2017, Dai Nam University solemnly organized "Citizenship Week" to welcome nearly 1,000 new students of Course 11. This year, Dai Nam University brought important training programs with practical significance in studying and cultivating ethics to new students.
Citizenship Week is an annual activity before the new school year. This activity aims to help new students understand the school they are attending, know about the rights and obligations of student citizens; understand the school's training program and methods to have a suitable study plan for themselves.
During this year's civic week activities, students participated in early-year political studies, life skills training, and were instructed in effective English learning methods.
The first political study of the year is the time for new students of the 11th course to meet with teachers in the School's Board of Directors and listen to important contents such as: Overview of the history of the school's establishment and development; Credit-based training program, regulations for students, boarding and boarding regulations and regulations on tuition and scholarship policies as well as plans for the Union and Clubs in the 2017-2018 school year.... At the same time, students also listen to and understand issues of security and social order to help each individual student understand, study and practice according to the law, and at the same time be aware of vigilance to keep themselves safe.

“Life skills training” is the second topic that Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of the School shared with Dai Nam students on September 13 about learning skills and building an independent life when studying at university.
Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of the school shared useful and enthusiastic knowledge with new students.
With heartfelt words from a teacher and a mother, she encourages students to actively participate in learning, constantly learn and create opportunities for themselves right from the beginning of university.
Through the study session, students gain more knowledge about life skills and optimism so that they can enter the first years of university life confidently, firmly and effectively to become useful people for society.
Students responded enthusiastically during the sharing session.
Also during the sharing session, the new students of Course 11 also had the opportunity to discuss and share with teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages about effective ways to learn foreign languages, through sharing and games to practice confidence in English communication.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, lecturer of the Foreign Language Department, shared: “Students should make a specific study plan for each subject. For English, students can study anytime, anywhere, such as when listening to music, watching movies, or reading foreign newspapers... Create a passion for learning English and especially you need to be confident when communicating in English. Put each English vocabulary into a sentence, learn one word every day, make sentences with that word and you will improve your English skills.”

We not only learned about the school and got to know the teachers, but we also accumulated a lot of knowledge about learning methods and life skills. The confusion and anxiety of new students like me no longer exist, I see that my choice to study at Dai Nam University is the right one”. That is one of the many shares of the 9th class freshmen, Dai Nam University after the end of the first week of school.
